Some exciting news was revealed as one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time will be getting their collectible released. The designer art toy company Stance has partnered with the UFC to unveil high-end exclusive UFC Collector Toys.
The first toy they will be releasing will be none other than “The Notorious” Conor McGregor, which will debut at UFC X on June 28th, just before the UFC 303 event is set to take place. Read more about this collectible and how many more could potentially be released.
Why Did The UFC Partner With Stance?
One of the main reasons the UFC decided to partner with Stance was the Founder of Stance Shaun Sakdinan’s promise to create something special for the hardcore UFC fan. Each Stance product stands out because of its distinguished styles, making each one more marketable.
Stance has also decided to collaborate with the acclaimed toy designer Tracy Tubera to create these UFC Collector Toys. Tubera has a history of making art that includes pop culture imagery, so he seems perfect for making these toys. He is also known for anime and cover art which is a huge benefit to making these UFC collectibles.
The UFC is likely aware that these collectibles will sell with their passionate audience, so they have chosen to partner with Stance to make these UFC Collector Toys.
Why Conor McGregor?
Conor McGregor is often regarded as one of the highest-selling fighters of all time, however, that might not have been the only reason as to why his collectible will be the first to release. Mcgregor was originally scheduled to fight on UFC 303, which would have been around the time of this release.
Even though McGregor had to pull out of the UFC 303 card, it won’t delay the release of this high-end collector toy. This means that there could very well be more fighters released depending on who’s fighting on the upcoming PPVs.
When Can We See More Fighters?
This timing on the Conor McGregor collectible could mean that more collector toys will be available as more PPVS approach. Since UFC 303 was supposed to be marked as McGregor’s return, it could very well be possible that more collectibles will be released of people who are headlining upcoming events.
The next PPV is UFC 304 and it could be possible that a Leon Edwards or a Tom Aspinall collectible could be released then, though there is no confirmation of that being the case. Stance could also take the route of releasing collector toys based on popularity, which would result in fighters such as Jon Jones and Alex Pereira getting out to the public in the coming months.
More Information
The debuting Conor McGregor collectible will be available to pre-order on June 28th, the day of UFC X 2024. This collectible and all coming UFC Collector Toys will be limited edition and will only drop once. Each art piece will come with a letter of authenticity.
The McGregor collectible will come in four different variants. There will be one with his iconic vacuum shorts, and three rare editions in Blackout, Gold, and 25′ Red. The rare editions will have even further limited availability so they should be ordered as soon as possible.
Stance and Tubera will be available for interviews on June 28th and June 29th at the UFC Store. They will have each of the four variants there to showcase at UFC X. Each art piece ordered will also come with a Tracy Tubera signed illustration, official UFC coding, and a premium collector package.
