Arsenal will have a new, longest-serving player after deciding not to continue a contract extension with Mohamed Elneny.
The £7 million Egyptian midfielder signed by Arsene Wenger in 2016 from FC Basel has served the club diligently for 8 years. Whilst at Arsenal, MO as his teammates fondly call him achieved a lot beyond appearances and trophies.
Having played with Arsenal’s current coach under the Arsene Wenger era, MO became an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s management in the aspect of player-coach personnel, who guides and instills the younger professional with his wealth of experience.

It might come as a surprise to many people, but yes, Gabriel Martinelli has been a loyal servant to Arsenal football club. Having spent 5 seasons in the club since 2019, Martinelli has always admired Arsenal, even sometimes stating that he wants to retire from the club.
Having served the club for 5 years, with Mohamed Elneny’s subsequent exit, Martinelli would become the club’s highest-serving player at the exception for the academy graduates.
Gabriel Martinelli has won two trophies as an Arsenal Player. One FA cup and One community shield.
Arsenal 3rd longest serving player: Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka, arguably the current most valuable Arsenal player, was a product of the club’s academy. since Elneny’s departure, he would become the 3rd longest serving player in the squad, having served the club for over 5 years.
In Saka’s Five years as an Arsenal player, he has won 3 trophies. 1 FA cup and two community shields. Last year, he won the Prestigious PFA’s Young Player of the Year award.
Arsenal 2nd longest serving player Reiss Nelson

Reiss Nelson, a graduate of the famous Hale End Academy, was also one of the players that witnessed the Arsene Wenger era. Having made his debut at the age of 18 in a Premier match against Crystal Palace, Nelson has continued to serve the club up till now. Even though he has occasionally been sent on loan within his 6 years of service.
Reiss Nelson has won Four trophies as an Arsenal player. One FA Cup, 2 community shields and one U-21 Premier League trophy.
He isn’t currently their Longest-serving player, but he comes a close 2nd.
Arsenal’s current longest-serving player Eddie Nketiah

Eddie is currently the highest-serving player at Arsenal after MO’s exit. Having made his debut in a 2017 Europa League match against Bate Borisov, under Arsene Wenger, Nketiah has continued to serve the club since then.
However, due to a lack of game time, he has occasionally gone out on loan and has been impressive whilst at that too. He initially refused to sign a new contract some two seasons ago, but after a series of discussions and negotiations between him, Arteta and the club, he agreed to a 4-year £100k-a-week deal, elongating his service for the club.
Nketiah has served the club for 7 years while winning 1 FA cup and two community shields in this time.
