Tom Aspinall defeated Curtis Blaydes in 60 seconds by KO/TKO to retain the UFC Heavyweight Interim Championship. With how quickly the fight lasted, people are buzzing about his ability to win convincingly but what he did after the fight is getting everyone excited. After the fight, he took the time to call out the current UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon “Bones” Jones for a fight in the most respectful way possible.
“Hello Jon, I have nothing against you personally but I just think I’m better than you. I just know that I can beat you in a fight, so I’ m coming for you.”
Jon Jones has not fought since winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship at UFC 285 on March 4, 2023, where he defeated Ciryl Gane with a guillotine choke in the first round to win the title. That was only his second fight in the 2020s so it seems like this fight may not be happening, but it would be a spectacle if Tom Aspinall vs. Jon Jones happens for the UFC Heavyweight Championship to close out the year.
What is next for Tom Aspinall after his UFC 304 victory?

Tom Aspinall has been one of the best fighters as he has been one of the most dominant forces in the heavyweight division right now. With a 14-3 record with 12 of his wins coming via knockout, this is something that can be magical. This win at UFC 304 solidifies he is the better fighter after being handed a loss to Blaydes at UFC Fight Night 208 due to a knee injury. Since then, he has spent a combined 202 total seconds and has defeated Marcin Tybura, Sergei Pavlovich and Curtis Blaydes to hold onto the UFC Heavyweight Interim Championship.
It seems like there is not a worthy competitor as Tom Aspinall should be able to wipe the floor with the second-ranked contender in the heavyweight division in Ciryl Gane and he has already defeated Alexander Volkov (number three-ranked contender) back at UFC Fight Night 204. If Dana White does not make Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall for November or December, it seems like there is going to be a need to strip Jon Jones of the belt and make Tom Aspinall the actual UFC Heavyweight Champion
