Most of his snaps came when the Cowboys were ahead comfortably, which makes it easier for defenses to be more predictive of what he was running.
Vaughn’s strengths include his versatility, adding to the capability of being an afterthought who can take games over when defenses aren’t recognizing it. He is best utilized as a gadget player, with the ability to exploit mismatches and catch the defense off guard. Vaughn really could start to make an impact if the Cowboys start using him as a weapon in the offense instead of using him to ice games. If utilized correctly, Vaughn has the potential to be a secret weapon for this Cowboys team this season.
Jalen Tolbert WR
Ever since his selection in the third round of the 2022 Draft, Jalen Tolbert has received his fair share of hate. He did not turn out as great when many expected him to explode early in his career and thus raised some eyebrows about his future in the team. However, Tolbert looks forward to proving himself as more than a disappointment from a draft, and he is ready for a breakout in 2024.
The fact that CeeDee Lamb was away for the majority of the offseason actually proved to be a godsend for Tolbert. He received some important reps with Dak Prescott and was given a better chance to go up against the top cornerbacks of the team. While the roster no longer features Michael Gallup and the future of Lamb remains in question, the path is open for Tolbert to do some real damage. He’s ready for his close-up, and his place among the major players in the Cowboys’ receiving corps.
