The Top 5 Quarterbacks Going Into The 2025 NFL Season

Quarterbacks

The 2024 season of the NFL overall was an amazing time to experience whether as a player or a fan. Quarterbacks are the stars of the show. It takes an entire team working together for the same common goal. The fans who watched their favorite teams play in the stands, at their home team’s stadium, at home, amongst family and friends, or even at sports bars all enjoyed the league.

From nail-biting close fourth-down conversions to unbelievably long rushing drives/touchdowns, to quarterbacks making their way out of thin air, it was a great season. Today we will talk about the top five quarterbacks heading into the 2025 season. If we were to write about more than five Quarterbacks of the previous season, we would be here for quite a while detailing their accomplishments.

The League’s Top Five Quarterbacks

  1. Patrick Mahomes-Kansas City Chiefs. Mahomes has been a force to be reckoned with over the past five years. With a postseason record of 17 – 4 including three Super Bowl rings and leading the Chiefs to the AFC Championship Game for seven straight years. KC went 15-1 in the 2024 regular season. Mahomes has shown time and time again that he is an elite quarterback in this league.
  2. Joe Burrow-Cincinnati Bengals. Burrow is a quarterback opposing teams and fans must pay close attention to. In the 2024 season, he finished third in QB Rating and led the league in passing touchdowns. While he has led his team to a Super Bowl LVI loss, that game will only fuel him to win it all soon. Burrow has the confidence and the will of a leader who wants to win on the grandest stage. It’s not a matter of if, more so when it will happen.
  3. Tua Tagovailoa-Miami Dolphins. Tagovailoa has had an interesting career thus far. Playing at a professional level from his first game, he showed great promise over time. Fast forward to the 2024 season, the presumed franchise quarterback unfortunately suffered a concussion during a game against the Bills. While concussions are a concern for players, Tagovailoa will overcome the obstacles in front of him.
  4. Jalen Hurts-Philadelphia Eagles. The reigning Super Bowl champion and MVP Jalen Hurts won a very well-played Super Bowl last season. With each touchdown Hurts completed, his confidence and determination were on full display for all to see. He had 70 rushing yards. The most by a QB in Super Bowl history and had no interceptions. While his performance on paper may not seem extravagant with huge stat numbers, Hurts got the job done. Will we be seeing Hurts & company in the next Super Bowl?
  5. Lamar Jackson-Baltimore Ravens. A fan favorite amongst the NFL fan universe is Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens. While only having a postseason record of 3-5 in his seven-year career, we have witnessed Jackson’s smooth and fluid motions during many games. When Jackson makes his first Super Bowl appearance, football players and fans in majority can confidently say “This day was coming, and I knew it!”
