The Bloodline is a faction that has taken a massive shift ever since WrestleMania 40, kicking out members and adding new ones, while also becoming much more vicious than before. It consisted of The Rock, Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Paul Heyman, and Jimmy Uso before WrestleMania, but now three of those five members are gone. This revamp has been led by none other than Solo Sikoa, the former Enforcer who has now crowned himself The Tribal Chief. This has come during a time of Roman Reigns’ absence, as he has not been seen on TV ever since he lost his Undisputed WWE Champion to Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania.
Due to The Rock’s involvement in the Cody versus Roman storyline, and his original quest to become The Head of the Table, speculation has been growing regarding whether he has anything to do with the new Bloodline.
Solo Sikoa and The New Bloodline
After WrestleMania 40, Solo Sikoa took The Bloodline into his own hands and completely changed the faction. He kicked out both Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman and instead brought in Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. He has also stated that Roman Reigns was no longer a member of the faction and that he was the new Tribal Chief of The Bloodline. After feeding with Cody Rhodes for weeks, Solo Sikoa will finally get his shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2024.
Although Solo Sikoa crowned himself as The Tribal Chief, it’s important to know that Roman Reigns never relinquished that title and it seems that Sikoa went behind his back. It seems like the WWE is leading to a Wargames match at Survivor Series 2024 between Roman’s old Bloodline and Solo’s new Bloodline.
The Rock and Roman Reigns: Buildup to WrestleMania 40
At WrestleMania 40, The Rock teamed up with Roman Reigns against Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes in a tag team match which The Bloodline won. However, it’s important to remember that before this match was the main event of night one, The Rock originally wanted to face Roman to see who the real Head of the Table was.
The only reason that match didn’t main event this past WrestleMania was because fans began to complain that Cody Rhodes, the winner of the 2024 Royal Rumble, earned the right to main event night two against Reigns. On night two of WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes won the Undisputed WWE Championship, ending Roman’s title reign at 1,316 days.
Why The Rock Might Still Be Involved With The Bloodline
Due to this WrestleMania storyline, it has led to speculation that The Rock may still be involved with the new Bloodline that has been formed by Solo Sikoa. Solo Sikoa is set to face off against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam for Cody’s title, though it’s important to remember that it was Rock who warned Cody Rhodes that the title would come back to The Bloodline on the Raw after WrestleMania.
Another noteworthy thing to mention is that every member besides Solo Sikoa who was in The Bloodline was kicked out of the faction, besides The Rock. Jimmy Uso was kicked out of the Bloodline on Smackdown after WrestleMania after being attacked by a debuting Tama Tonga. Paul Heyman was kicked out on the June 28th Smackdown after refusing to acknowledge Solo Sikoa. Roman Reigns was kicked out the following week which was learned in a promo cut by Solo Sikoa.
This means that Rock is technically still a member of The Bloodline, and raises speculation on him potentially being involved with the antics of the new faction. Nothing has been confirmed regarding a potential association with The Bloodline, but if it turns out to be true, he will likely be revealed as the leader all along.
