While The Judgment Day has been around since February of this year, the group has already emerged as a powerful faction within WWE. Their supremacy in the wrestling state of affairs has been characterized by successive cheers and recognized fights. However, their battle was just encountered in the last Friday Night SmackDown match, and this was proven unexpected for them because they lost the fight.
At SmackDown on Friday, August 2, there was an 8-man tag team match that fans enjoyed and one that provided the much-needed thrill in the show. The newly-formed Happy Cor con dropped the native Super Smackdown Rampage, where the winning team of Rey Mysterio, Jey Uso, The Miz, and R Truth wrestled against the reigning and vindictive judgment day team for supremacy.

The match started and was characterized by energy and enthusiasm right from the onset. Despite being defeated by the team Babyface for which the match was played, Mysterio, Uso, Miz, and R-Truth did give a very good fight and even engaged the crowd with their charisma.
Something that can be remembered from the match was that the team made the transition of circumstantial celebratory hugging and singing to Uso’s entrance song. This amusing and joyful situation even included World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, who is a part of The Judgment Day.
Rey Mysterio delivers the final blow to Judgment Day
Throughout the match, one could see that the Babyface team was out to prove a point on the night. This was the climax of their hard work, and the highlight was an ‘iconic’ move by Rey Mysterio. The legendary wrestler performed its 619 move, which always receives a strong reaction from the audience, catching The Judgment Day off-guard. On the wrestling front, Mysterio was unrelenting and got the better part of the strategy in this match by nailing all four members of The Judgment Day with a 619 each.
In the last shocking moments of the fight, Mysterio’s accuracy and mobility proved decisive. By defeating Dominik Mysterio on the ground, he delivered the verdict for his team and dealt a major blow to Judgment Day. This win showed that the Babyface team was unified and that they were ready to fight for the win.
Celebrations and Aftermath
In the post-match celebration, the Babyface team was basking in the glory of their deserved win. The concluding team hug was a true indication of the team’s happiness and togetherness. Emotions ran high for the team long after the end of the final bell, and they just relished in their victory, as did the fans.
The loss can be considered an uncommon misfortune for The Judgement Day Wrestler, who has been on a rampage in the WWE. Such a change may leave the faction pondering the future and changing relations within the faction.
The fans, followers, and viewers of WWE will continue to remember this tough and intense episode of SmackDown while the wrestling audience anticipates what these changes are likely to bring to the continuing narratives and feuds in future episodes. The loss of Judgement Day is somewhat symbolic, which reminds the audience of wrestling and the fact that anything is possible at any given time in the wrestling ring.
