How will the team fare in this year’s tournament?
‘All Good Dawgs’ Announces Paul Jorgensen as the Sixth Player on its TBT Roster
TBT and Butler University announced on May 23 that the All Good Dawgs team will be bringing Paul Jorgensen back to Hinkle Fieldhouse. Jorgensen played for Butler for three years from 2017 to 2019 after transferring from George Washington.
As the sixth addition to the current roster, Jorgensen will join Shelvin Mack, Sean McDermott, Bryce Nze, Bo Hodges, and Rotnei Clarke as players who have committed to the $1 million college basketball alumni tournament. Former Assistant Coach Emerson Kampen will be the team’s head coach.
Other than Hodges, all players on the roster will be participating in TBT for the first time. Hodges played on the ‘Bucketneers’ team comprised of former players of East Tennessee State University. The Bucketneers are not listed as a participating team in TBT 2024.
After two years with George Washington, Jorgensen joined the Bulldogs in 2016 but was forced to redshirt the following season due to NCAA transfer rules. In his redshirt junior year, the 6’2″ sharpshooter averaged 10.2 points per game, third on the team behind Kelan Martin and Kamar Baldwin.
In his second and final season with the team, Jorgensen averaged 11.7 points per game, second on the team behind only Baldwin. Despite starting 18 games on the year, Jorgensen was recognized as the Big East Sixth Man of the Year in 2018-2019.
During all three years that he was with Butler, Jorgensen played alongside Doug McDermott, who was one year behind him.
Since graduating from Butler, Jorgensen has gone on to have a successful professional career overseas, most recently with Orzi Basket in Italy.
Return to Hinkle Fieldhouse for TBT
Much like most of the players on its roster, All Good Dawgs will be participating in TBT for the first time.
In its inaugural season in TBT, All Good Dawgs will serve as one of the tournament’s host sites. The ‘Butler Region’ will hold its games in Hinkle Fieldhouse on the campus of Butler University from July 19-23. The region will also include the teams Men of Mackey, Assembly Ball, The Cru, and Team Arkansas representing former players of Purdue, Indiana, Valparaiso, and Arkansas, respectively.
On July 19, Jorgensen will return to the historic arena as an athlete for the first time since 2019.
During the 2023-2024 NCAA season, Hinkle Fieldhouse served as host to the post-season NIT and WBIT tournament semi-finals and championship games.
