Suryakumar Yadav’s Untold Controversies That Led Him To Leadership

Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav, an extremely talented and popular player recognized for his batting skills and spectacular fielding, is confirmed to take the position of Team India T20I skipper. Another eagerly awaited series, India versus Sri Lanka, starting from July 27, will be a coming-out party for Suryakumar Yadav as captain of the Indian T20I team. This position underlines his rise in Indian cricket and also underlines the confidence that the selectors have in the man.

The new captain has again dragged the debate to his previous period of leadership as a captain in the 2015 Ranji Trophy for Mumbai. The NewX channel has it that Yadav’s tenure as the Mumbai team’s captain was characterized by some form of struggle. His period as a leader was relatively short, including only six matches. Therefore, he achieved very little. During his tenure, they could only get the better of Uttar Pradesh once, and this led to raising questions about his leadership qualities. Thus, Mumbai ended the season in a very poor sixth place, even losing to what can be regarded as an unprecedented victory for Tamil Nadu.

Disciplinary Issues and Resignation

The hardships that he met during his captaincy were not only the question of the field outcome. It was suggested that Suryakumar Yadav experienced severe problems off the field, and this exacerbated his position of leadership. After a poor season with issues with discipline throughout most of the year, Suryakumar Yadav voluntarily stepped down as captain. Manager Shrikant Tigdi, who was in Mumbai at the time, prepared a report for the MCA highlighting some disciplinary issues with Yadav. This was followed by promotion, which later led to the appointment of Aditya Tare as captain.

Evidence of Suryakumar Yadav’s misconduct was outlined in the report, which presented him as a man with conflict-prone behaviors; one of the incidents was during the Under 25 captaincy of the player when he had an assault on Siddhesh Lad. Besides, he caused the breakage of a glass wall at MCA’s BKC center in Mumbai that was worth around Rs25,000. However, such actions deserved consideration; instead, Yadav was warned by the MCA vice president Ravi Savant.
