Suryakumar Yadav Falls Short Again in PAK vs. IND Crucial Match

Suryakumar Yadav, a top Indian batsman, had another disappointing performance against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup match on Sunday. He scored just seven runs and 33 runs in three games of T20 World Cup 2024.

The ICC’s number one hitter threw his wicket at a crucial moment. He seriously put India in trouble. Fortunately, that was India’s Day!!! That’s why India defeated Pakistan by ONLY 6 runs. Unbelievable!

Haris Rauf removed Surya in the 12th over of the innings. In an attempt to play a huge shot, he smacked the ball right into Mohammad Amir’s palms at long-off. Rishabh Pant’s 31-ball 42 gave India a target to defend on the challenging surface in New York. Since their openers, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli lost cheaply.

Suryakumar Yadav’s Poor Record

The flashy batsman had a terrible batting record against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup, scoring only 33 runs in three games. Suryakumar Yadav faced huge criticism on social media after his dismal performance against Pakistan.

Suryakumar got only seven runs off eight deliveries as India were bowled out for 119 at the Nassau County International Stadium. He also scored only two runs in India’s first match of the tournament against Ireland.

Just after Suryakumar’s defeat against Pakistan, fans turned to social media to criticize this senior batsman, claiming that he underperforms in key games. Earlier, India got off to a bad start after Pakistan chose to bowl, as star opener Virat Kohli went to the pavilion after scoring just 4.

Suryakumar Fails Again, Fans Upset

Suryakumar was expected to form a combination with Rishabh Pant. But he delivered yet another poor performance. Surya’s bad performance in another important World Cup match left cricket fans on X upset.

Earlier, the toss was postponed for half an hour due to rain. Meanwhile, Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and was chosen to bowl first, given the circumstances.

India opened the tournament with an easy eight-wicket victory over Ireland. While Pakistan was surprised by the United States during their first encounter. India used the same starting lineup as in the previous match, while Pakistan replaced Azam Khan with Imad Wasim.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam won the toss and chose to bowl. And there was a tremendous roar when Rohit clipped Shaheen Shah Afridi’s third delivery of the day over midwicket for six.

Speaking at the toss, Babar Azam stated:

We will bowl first due to the weather and dampness on the wicket. The circumstances are ideal for our four fast bowlers. We’ll do our best to make good use of it. Past is past; we are looking forward to today’s match, and we are prepared to give our all. It’s usually a major game between India and Pakistan, and we’re always confident. Azam Khan is resting.

PAK vs. IND | Match Overview

At first, everything seems to be going Pakistan’s way. They eliminated Rohit Sharma (13) cheaply on the powerplay. This placed the Men in Blue on the back. After this, only Pant proved to be a good batsman for India, scoring 42 runs. Suryakumar also could not show his ability. They made a risky choice to promote Axar Patel to number four after he scored 20 runs off 18 balls.

In the end, Pakistan’s batting line was put under Pressure. They did not play to their full potential, ultimately losing the game. It left all Pakistani fans disappointed. Indian supporters, on the other side, were pleased with their unbelievable win, despite their batsmen’s terrible performances, such as Suryakumar.
