Zampa’s Evolution Draws Comparisons to Shane Warne
Cricket gurus are comparing Zampa to the legendary Shane Warne after his crucial role in Australia’s 2021 T20 World Cup win. Zampa also performed well in the ODI World Cup last year but never thought about those comparisons. In a recent interview, the leg spinner said:
“I never thought of it that way. I had to fight for my spot on the team for a long time. Captains like Aaron Finch, Pat Cummins, and Mitchell Marsh backed me, and I have a clear role under this coaching staff.”
Zampa feels his skills have improved over the years. “I worked hard when I was young, went through rough patches, and was in and out of the team. But in the last few years, my skills have improved. The leadership helps me feel at home,” he said.
