SmackDown Preview - WWE Women's Championship Implications

SmackDown will be broadcast live from the Golden1 Center in Sacramento, CA. Having wrapped up some high-intensity feuds last week, Friday’s episode will deliver what is next for the various champions of the blue brand. LA Knight will defend, the top four women will contend, and Cody Rhodes has possibly found a new friend. Friday will go a long way in better shaping the outlook for titles and Bad Blood!

Andrade el Idolo is primed and ready to cash in his reward of being considered the top contender for the United States Championship on this week’s SmackDown. Andrade deserves the status after defeating Carmelo Hayes in the final match of a best-of-five series last week. LA Knight came out with a microphone after Andrade’s victory last week to inform him that he would get a title shot and that it would be a short-lived celebration since he would not win next week. Does Knight have a point? Will Carmelo Hayes interject himself into the situation?

The Pinfall will have WWE Women’s Championship Implications

The WWE women’s champion, Nia Jax, said last week that she will be defending the WWE Women’s Championship at Bad Blood. First, though, an unusual stipulation for Friday’s scheduled tag team match between Jax and Tiffany Stratton versus Naomi and Bayley will have implications as to who will be Jax’s challenger…if any. If Bayley and Naomi win the tag match, whoever gets the pinfall will earn the title shot at Bad Blood. If either Bayley or Naomi loses, whoever takes the pin or submission will have to leave SmackDown permanently!

This is an early win for Jax. The champion will either get to beat up on her next challenger early or see a top rival have to leave the blue brand. What will happen in this huge tag team match? Don’t forget, Stratton still has the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase, which could be Tiffy Time!

Cody and Roman, What is Next?

Last week, Cody Rhodes was quite busy. Not only did we see the Undisputed WWE Champion defeat Solo Sikoa in a steel cage, but also had to fend off extra attacks from the other Bloodline members before getting some relief from Roman Reigns. After last week’s opening title match, Cody said he was done with The Bloodline. However, things changed by the end of the episode, and Rhodes signed the contract to tag with Roman Reigns against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood. Aside from The Bloodline’s attacks, is there another motivation for Cody to help Roman with this menace?
