The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the release of the star fast bowler Shaheen Afridi from the national Test list. Misbah-ul-Haq left out Afridi, is a main bowler of Pakistan’s side in the second Test match against the Bangladesh Team. “The team management has decided to release Shaheen Shah Afridi from the Test squad to allow him to spend time with his family, a PCB statement read.”

During a press conference, Pakistan’s white-ball head coach Jason Gillespie explained the rationale behind Shaheen Afridi’s absence, he stated that
“Shaheen will sit out of this game. I had a good conversation with him, and he fully understands and appreciates the reasoning behind this decision. We’re looking for the best combination for this game, and this is our direction, Gillespie had remarked.”
Now that Bangladesh leads 1-0 in the series, Pakistan would have to exert a lot of effort to get even once the weather improves. The exclusion of Shaheen Afridi and his exclusion has not been well received by some fans.
