Celebrations Galore: Sensational MS Dhoni’s 43rd Birthday

MS Dhoni, one of the biggest icons of Indian cricket, turns 43 today, and the celebration for this legend is as warm as a typical Indian summer.

Former captain of the Indian Cricket Team, MS Dhoni cut cake with his wife, friends, and family at FMID Night Club in Mumbai. It was rather a celebration in terms of warm friendship as they embraced jovial moments in the day considering the event.

Birthday greetings to my superhero, @msdhoni Amazing how the communication continues to flow; the celebrity-enthusiast bond proves that Dhoni is still relevant. One of the Bollywood legends and superstars, Salman Khan, who celebrated New Year’s Eve with MS Dhoni, also posted a selfie with the cricketer and a rather simple and affectionate message wishing good luck to the man who had a tumultuous year.

Champions Trophy-winning Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, who shares a great friendship with Dhoni, personally wished him on Facebook, posting a picture of his family.

 Ruturaj Gaikwad, who is fondly regarded as the successor of the captain cool in CSK, even went to the extent of calling Dhoni. Also present with him was Tushar Deshpande, the player from the Chennai Super Kings side, who has also not been found wanting in expressing his respect and reverence to the man, Laud.

The Star Sports Network released an emotion-charged video clipping of stars like Gautam Gambhir, Dwayne Bravo, Irfan Pathan, and Naseer Hussain talking about Dhoni and his leadership and the change he brought to Indian cricket.

Hordes of fans worldwide participated in rejoicing and expressing their affection for MS Dhoni in different creative ways. His accomplishments extend beyond the game and were associated with the guidance, camaraderie, and motivation of millions of cricket fans.

These celebrations were not limited to India; rather, they spread across different parts of the world. In Australia, people were able to form a cricket match in his honor, and in England, followers convened at cricket clubs to celebrate the person’s input in the game. In CARICOM, iPhones recorded children mimicking Dhoni’s signature helicopter shot.

To demonstrate that his influence has gone wide and far. The birthday was a trending session on the social site, with lots of tags ranging from #HappyBirthdayDhoni, #MSD43, and #Thala, among others. This is more than just a birthday for his fans, it’s an event that they look forward to celebrating all day. Till today, he remains the only Indian captain to win the T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup, and the ICC Champions Trophy.

Various buildings across India were lit up, in particular the yellow color that represents Dhoni’s IPL franchise, named Chennai Super Kings. Chennai fans conducted a puja to the god for his health and long life for his majesty. Cricket academies in Ranchi, which is also Dhoni’s birthplace, organized cricket matches for kids and distributed sweets to underprivileged children on this day.

Current and former cricketers too tweeted in their way to show their feelings for the lucky release of the movie. Sachin Tendulkar put up a childhood picture with a deep message written in the caption, former captain Virat Kohli’s short message, where he talks about Mahi’s ‘stillness’ and his ability to lead. Even regional players like Michael Clarke and Kevin Pietersen also followed, and this again proved that Mahi is also an international cricketer.
