Merab Dvalishvili is an amazing fighter who has great striking and grappling technique and he proved that in his previous fight against Sean O’Malley. Recently there have been some serious issues between him and Umar Nurmagomedov. Later, he was asked about his actions and he stated that he wanted to hurt that man very badly. Sean O’Malley also reacted to that saying that, Merab has no control over himself.

He just can’t quite stay out of trouble. Merab just doesn’t have any control of his little self”
Sean O’Malley thinks that Merab’s recent confrontation with a fan was a possible trap prepared for him by his next UFC 311 opponent, Umar Nurmagomedov. It is likely because Umar likes to provoke Merab, although there is no evidence except for the fan speaking Russian. But that factor alone would not make him a relation to Umar.

But O’Malley was more focused on Merab being out of control. UFC is not like any other sport. Especially the fans are not like other fans, because they can criticize other fighters who are going to fight their favorite fighter. It has been this way since the beginning but Merab didn’t understand this and, therefore he cannot deal with such disrespect coming from the fans. Violence could mean that Merab is in deep trouble, from time in jail, a lawsuit, or a suspension by the State Athletic Commission or the Ultimate Fighting Championship. But the actions of Merab seem like, he does not care.
Such confrontations between Merab and his fans could lead to big losses, such as the loss of a big fan base that Merab has from different countries. Merab was asked again and again about the confrontation between him and the fan, to which he said that he verbally abused Merab and his family in the Russian language and most importantly tried to physically assault him. It was something Merab could not overlook as he is the man of the family and he is proud of it. So now, he has even risked severe punishment just to uphold his dignity.

In this case, Merab should take Sean O’Malley’s criticism seriously because if he keeps doing that, he will soon pay for it with his career at the worst time.
