San Diego Padres Player Finding Form In Extremely Disappointing 2024 Season

The San Diego Padres are playing the best of any team in the league.

San Diego Padres Second Baseman Xander Bogaerts has seemingly turned a corner after a rough start to the 2024 season. Bogaerts has hit a home run in back-to-back games and will look to keep it going as the season progresses. He hit a solo home run on Sunday against the Los Angeles Dodgers and on Monday against the Colorado Rockies. Before his two-game hot streak, Bogarts went hitless for four consecutive games. Bogaerts is 3-of-8 over the San Diego Padres’ last two games.

San Diego dominated the Los Angeles Dodgers winning 5-0 on Sunday and lost 5-4 on Monday night to a suddenly red-hot Colorado Rockies team. Colorado has won five straight games including the first game of their three-game set with the Padres.

Bogaerts is hitting .212 this season with four home runs and 13 RBI. Will he be able to build upon his hot few games?

Xander Bogaerts Career Summary

Bogaerts made his Major League Baseball debut as a member of the Boston Red Sox in 2013. He spent the first 10 seasons of his career in Boston before spending the last two seasons with the San Diego Padres. He signed a monster 11-year $280 million contract with the Padres in December of 2022.
He is a four-time MLB All-Star(2016, 2019, 2021-2022) and a five-time Silver Slugger Award winner(2015-16, 2019, 2021-22). In addition, Bogaerts is a two-time World Series champion in 2013 and 2018 as a member of the Boston Red Sox.

The San Diego Padres continue their series with the Rockies tonight before a day off on Thursday when they head to Atlanta for a four-game set against the Atlanta Braves. Profar and the Padres look to improve from being a mediocre team as they aim for a return to the MLB Playoffs.
