Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka has withdrawn from the England squad due to injury. Saka had to pull out as a precaution because of a small muscle problem. He will return to Arsenal and be examined by the club’s medical team soon.
Unfortunately, the young talent will be absent from the upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Belgium. These matches are the final ones before Gareth Southgate reveals the squad for Euro 2024 in May.
Injury Update
Bukayo Saka reported to St George’s Park with injury and has been unavailable to be involved in training. On Wednesday, Saka, along with captain Harry Kane, Cole Palmer, and Jordan Henderson, focused on individual training indoors at St George’s Park.
But the forward will return to his club to continue rehabilitation. This is a safety measure taken to prevent the injury from escalating. He will be assessed by Arsenal’s medical team.
PERi-PERi Saka
Before reporting for international duty Bukayo Saka revealed his limited edition Nando’s Peri-Peri sauce called the PERi-PERi Saka. It’s a delicious blend of his love for BBQ and tomato flavors, combined with Nando’s famous Peri-Peri sauce.
This was his statement “The sauce mixes sweet, spiciness and smokiness. I love it and can’t wait for everyone to try it. I’ve been going to Nando’s since I was little so to have my own Peri-Peri sauce in every restaurant in the country is quite mad. My family’s really important to me so I wanted to make sure they liked it too. As soon as my dad said he was a fan, I knew it was the one.”
Saka’s Current Form
Saka has been killing it for Arsenal this season. They’re sitting at the top of the Premier League and they just advanced to the next stage of the Champions League. They defeated FC Porto after 120 minutes of play. They are preparing to face the German defending Champions Bayern Munich after the international break. Arsenal have lost in the last 3 meetings with the German side. Will they break the deadlock this time??
What’s Next
Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League table although with just a little margin. They battle Guardiola’s men immediately after the international break. Bukayo Saka is expected to be in action for this fixture. Arsenal failed to lift a trophy last season even after performing well. They will hope to rewrite that mistake this time around.
