He is regarded as one of the best attacking midfielders of his generation. The Midfielder has 109 assists, and 68 goals still counting for Man City in the Premier League.

He was able to win six Premier League titles and one Champions League trophy. This is amidst a great number of domestic and international trophies for the Club. However, he also struggled with some minor injury issues during his time. Last season was his worst, as he was out for half of the season. The Midfielder who will be 33 this year, will be leaning towards retirement. Most likely his interest in competitive football will be diminishing.

Al-Ittihad is plotting a raid on Manchester City. With their top priority on Kevin De Bruyne, alongside their Brazilian keeper, Ederson. De Bruyne has however been reported to have agreed to terms to join the Arabian club. Al-Ittihad also has been said to have been in contact with Man City over him and his teammate goalie. It was reported by a News article from the Mirror that the Belgian had “agreed terms” with the Saudi club. Moreover, it seems Pep Guardiola’s side are strongly interested in keeping him.

Reports on Kevin De Bruyne’s possible Departure

The Report states “… reports in Italy over the weekend claimed he had ‘agreed personal terms’ with Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ittihad,” It also continued  “While it remains to be seen if De Bruyne would be willing to leave before his current contract expires in 2025, City will desperate to hang onto their talisman – particularly as previous reports have indicated he could be willing to see out his playing days in Manchester City.

The report proceeded on, “It was reported back in February by The Athletic that De Bruyne had planned to sign a new contract with City to retire at the Etihad at around the age of 35. “There have, however, been hints that the player may have had a change of heart in recent months: it was outlined back in May that his representatives had held talks with new MLS franchise San Diego FC, while details of preliminary discussions over a potential move to Saudi Arabia emerged shortly after.”

Al-Ittihad Plans on Signing Ederson

Al-Ittihad are set to test Man City’s decision on whether to keep their Brazilian Keeper. The same Club after Kevin De Bruyne has shown strong interest in the Brazilian. The Saudi Club is planning on tempting Ederson to sign for their club. However, in the past, Al-Ittihad hasn’t been the only one seeking to land him. Al-Nassr has also tried to bring in the Brazil international. As it stands it seems that Al-Ittihad is the one with the strongest of interest.

It was reported by the same Mail Sport saying, “Al-Ittihad have made contact with Manchester City about sealing a move for Ederson over the coming weeks,” the report continued, “Interest from the Saudi Pro League in City’s goalkeeper has been intense in recent months, with Al-Nassr initially hopeful of luring the Brazilian away from the Manchester City. “Their offer of £25 million fell way below City’s valuation but Al-Ittihad have been given enough encouragement to open dialogue with the Premier League champions.

The Report rounded up saying, “The 30-year-old is believed to be valued at somewhere nearer £50m and Al-Ittihad are ready to test that resolve for what would be a major coup for the SPL.”
