Renato Moicano Massive Win Over Benoit Saint-Denis

Renato Moicano wins over Benoit Saint-Denis

The UFC Fight Night took place in Paris, France where Renato Moicano fought Benoit Saint-Denis. Renato Moicano was already ahead of Saint-Denis in ranking which was No.10 while on the other hand, Saint-Denis was ranked No.12 before the fight night in Paris.

Moicano fought a lot of fighters before this but there have been ups and downs in his previous career. However, Renato Moicano entered this fight on a three-fight winning run, most recently stopping Jalin Turner at UFC 300 in April. The same was not the case with the 12th-ranked fighter as he is looking forward to moving up in his career. After being knocked out by Dustin Poirier in the UFC 299 fight in March, he needed a big-money fight.

Powerful Grappling Exchanges

The announcements are made and the match is started. They exchanged leg kicks at the beginning. Moicano came further in, and Saint-Denis connected with a right hook. As Moicano grappled he took Saint-Denis down to the mat.

Saint-Denis attempted to create space with the butterfly guard, but when he was trying to stand up, Moicano interrupted and grabbed him from the back and pulled him backward and both of them were again on the ground. Saint-Denis flipped onto his back, and Moicano climbed on top of him making the position to straight punch him in the face. He began to throw elbows, and the left hook brought bleeding from the 12th-ranked fighter.

The first round finished and both champions were in their corners, while the cuts of Saint-Denis seemed serious, he was examined by doctors but it didn’t look like a big problem before the second round started. The second round began and the swelling was beginning to show. Things got worse during a second small round between him and Renato Moicano.

Before the third round, doctors went through a checkup of Saint-Denis’s injury and told him that he should be ready for any kind of result. In other words, don’t worry about the pressure and boos from the crowd because health is more important. After the check-up, the doctors made the announcement. They concluded that the French fighter could not carry on, and the fight was stopped by the referee, Marc Goddard.

Final Moments

The winner of the fight was Renato Moicano because of his outstanding performance and incredible striking. He already had a three-match win streak by adding this one it becomes a four-win streak. Obviously, he will move up in the top-10 ranking and maybe one day he will become the No.1 Contender and then we will see how he performs against the champions of the whole division. This was his fourth straight victory and his sixth win in his last seven fights. He also called out Paddy Pimblett and Dan Hooker on X.
