Reiss Nelson Informs Arsenal in Shock Decision That He Wants to Leave the Club for 2024-2025 Season

In a shocking move for the Gunners and the North London fans, Reiss Nelson has decided that he wants to leave Arsenal FC before next season begins. Although he is a young star at his current club and frequently wears the red and white kit for his team, he has made a huge statement in saying that he wants to leave Arsenal FC before the 2024-2025 PL season gets underway due to interest from other clubs.

Arsenal fans are left speechless after wandering; how did this happen? What are other Premier League board members offering him that has turned his head in another direction? Why does Reiss Nelson want to leave his boyhood club? Only time will tell why the youngster has decided to jump ship so early on in his career.

Reiss Nelson on the Move?

Reiss Nelson is one of the best young players at the gunners in the past few years, making appearances and being widely respected by his teammates and coaches. However, he has made a huge statement that took the coaches by surprise after announcing that he wants to potentially explore transfer opportunities this summer during the window so he can get more game time and develop his game.

This comes just shortly after he signed a new contract with the club that commits him to the North London side for at least two more years, with an option to extend an additional year. It seems odd that he would sign a new contract if he was already looking to go elsewhere to get more minutes on the pitch or find a different style of coaching/playing.

Many people wondered why he would pen a paper if he wasn’t happy. However, Reiss Nelson says it is because he wants to have a season away from Arsenal FC so he can develop his game, get more regular time on the pitch, and hone his skills so he can come back to the Gunners in a better way than before. This way, he can impress Arteta and see the pitch as a regular the following season.

And we see the point – Reiss Nelson earned only 700 minutes across all games this season for his club, which isn’t that much compared to other regular starters or typical substitutions that would come into every match. While Reiss Nelson was sitting on the bench, other clubs began to take note of the 24-year-old who could make a difference for their team.

Premier league clubs could be interested in purchasing Reiss Nelson for the future, or agreeing to a loan deal, so that he could come into their squad as a starter, injury replacement layer, or frequent substitute so that he can be guaranteed time on the pitch, and the club can have peace of mind with the security of a new signing.

Reiss Nelson Career So Far

We see why clubs are so interested in Reiss Nelson to bolster their squad and add more depth to their team sheet. Reiss Nelson joined Arsenal at a young age and has since gone up through the ranks, but has yet to really break into the senior squad as a regular starter or substitution during tense games. He made his debut back in 2017, so it seems only right that he would have earned his chance to be a full-time player on the pitch for Arteta’s side at this point.

During his time with the Gunners, he has had other successful loan spells at Feyenoord in the Eredivisie in the Netherlands and TSG Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga in Germany. Going on another loan spell could be good for Reiss Nelson’s confidence and playing attributes that would see him become a more effective player in the English Premier League.
