The Belgian and Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has proved himself to be at his excellent peak after joining Real Madrid from Chelsea. Courtois has many goalkeeping advantages such as his height, reach, and his long and quick hands for his lightning-quick reflexes.
His heroics against Liverpool in the 2022 Champions League finals is just another satisfying speculation for all the Real Madrid fans. Although they won the UCL finals with the edges of margins Liverpool could’ve taken the UCL title if it wasn’t for Courtois.
In this season of La Liga Courtois was mainly injured for almost the entire La Liga due to an ACL tear due to this Real Madrid had to arrange for a substitute goalkeeper in their team to do some of his part for the team. Andriy Lunin was in charge alongside Kepa to contribute as well in the absence of the first-choice goalkeeper.

Thibaut Courtois who was injured the entire season of La Liga led to the critics and the staff members thinking the lack of fitness may cause him to get injured again. Despite being the starting goalkeeper for Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League finals there was no big risk to be taken for sure according to Belgium’s manager.
There have been ups and downs for the Belgian goalkeeper considering the manager’s actions it seems like Courtois has to wait. Domenico Tedesco said: “He was honest and clear. He knows his body the best, and it’s different to play every three or four days during a tournament.
“So, when taking all this into consideration, we didn’t think he was ready for the Euros. He added: “Of course, we now plan with the players that are able to play.”

The Red Devils are seeking a reliable goalkeeper to kick things off in the Euros. There are few goalkeepers under the radar of the Belgium squad. Thomas Kaminski of Luton Town, Koen Casteels of VFL Wolfsburg, and Matz Sels of Nottingham Forest will be eyed to be in the top spot for the number 1 shirt.
The Red Devils will face Slovakia, Romania, and Ukraine for the Group E in the Euros. This will depend on the Goalkeeping side of the Belgian squad, before that they will play friendlies against Montenegro and Luxembourg to determine who will be the better fit.

The three optional goalkeepers for the Belgian squad can perform well. As for in terms of the performance starting with Thomas Kaminski who plays for Luton Town which recently got relegated after coming back to the prem.
He has played 38 games and has conceded 85 goals. His save ratio is 63.3 combining the per-game goal conceding ratio of 2.25 goals per 90 minutes. Coming off for Wolfsburg Koen Casteels has better stats than Kaminski.
He has played 25 games, conceding only 39 goals with a 67.8% save percentage, with only conceding 1,56 goals per 90 minutes. Lastly, coming out from Nottingham Forest Matz Selz who has played in both French and English leagues.
Combining all of his records from both of the leagues Selz has played 35 games, conceded 51 goals, saved 120.3, and lastly has a goals conceding ratio of 1.45 goals per 90 minutes. This might be an interesting factor in keeping the experienced goalkeeper who played both leagues in front.
