Real Madrid is well and truly in control in their domestic league in Spain. The Spanish giants have seemingly nothing to worry about every time they step onto the pitch in La Liga, earning three points every time they take the field in the last 28 games. Not only is this an incredible streak for La Liga and the squad, but it puts more confidence in the minds of the players as they prepare for the Champions League final.
Carlo Ancelotti must be feeling happy, and proud, of his players and how well they have done this year. La Liga is a competitive domestic league, but his team has made it look too easy at times. Plus, they had a fantastic comeback victory against Bayern Munich last week in the Champions League semifinal that had people on the edge of their seats.
If they continue like this, there is no doubt they will win the coveted CL Trophy.

The game began with dominance, as Real Marid controlled possession, took shots on frame, strung together hundreds of passes, and remained accurate in the final third. They had 7 shots on target vs. Granada’s one, showing their dominance in tracking back defensively and helping out in the back third.
Plus, their 59% possession is slightly low for their team, but they were extremely accurate when they had the ball. Real Madrid earned an 88% pass accuracy and completed 538 passes compared to Granada’s 369.
In the 38th minute, Fran Garcia found the back of the net to open the scoring floodgates for his team. Just a few minutes later, he assisted on Guler’s goal who easily slotted the ball home past the keeper. This brought Madrid into halftime with a comfortable 2-0 lead over a struggling Granada side.
And the second half was no different.
Diaz scored just four minutes after both teams made it back onto the pitch, deflating the morale and energy of the other team. Luka Modric assisted on his next goal in the 58th minute to drive home the final nail in the coffin and cruise home for the last 30 minutes of the game.
After securing the three points in an ‘easy’ game against Granada, Real Madrid are confidently perched in first place with 90 points so far in the season. They are 15 points clear of the second-place team with just three matches left, meaning they have already secured the league title before the season is even close to being over.

Real Madrid Looking to the Champions League Final
Real Madrid face off against Borussia Dortmund on June 1st in the UEFA Champions League final to see who will be crowned the best team in Europe.
Since Real Madrid has secured the La Liga trophy, and they are in the final for CL, Ancelotti can now turn his full attention to this coveted competition. This gives his team a leg up against Dortmund, who are still fighting to get a higher place in the German Bundesliga.
Ancelotti will have to make some tough decisions for this historic game, such as choosing the right keeper (Courtois vs. Lunin in goal), deciding about Nacho’s fitness to play in defense, and analyzing if Tchouameni will be back in the defensive lineup.
