Arsenal’s futile pursuit of a league title throughout two seasons has revealed some weaknesses in the team. A prominent one is the lack of a point man. However, it has not been obvious. Over the two seasons, they missed out on the league title, they amassed a lot of goals—most especially the previously completed season.
They were able to score a total of 91 goals in the 2023/24 EPL season. Their only natural forward Eddie Nketiah had only 5 from that number. This could have proved their independence in a natural forward. However, Arsenal had horrible losses where they couldn’t find the net.
A goal or two could have helped them salvage a draw or win. These losses however hampered their league title hopes. The gunners looked to have learned their lessons. As it stands they seem to be in poll position in signing RB Lepzig striker Benjamin Sesko.

Man United had been showing a lot of interest in Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko. Moreover, their signing of the Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund has made them lower their interest in Sesko. Additionally, the issues of signing a new coach or keeping the present one as been a distraction for them. Thus this gives Arsenal the edge in signing the Slovenian.
Sesko’s agent has given the Gunners a hint about his release clause. The fee is estimated to be around £45m. Arsenal will hope to negotiate the fee and successfully arrive at a probable agreement.

Benjamin Sesko is a prolific striker. He is around 6’5 tall granting him a versatile aerial presence. He is fast, rapid, and very athletic, making him a huge trouble for defenders to deal with. In the previously concluded season, the 21-year-old was able to score 18 goals.
His striking abilities alongside his heading skills his phenomenal making him a threat inside or outside the box. Although he still has other areas to improve, like his passing and decision-making. Nevertheless, he is a promising young prospect.

No doubt Mikel Arteta’s side will heavily benefit from the inclusion of the Slovenian striker. Their lack of a natural forward has created a lot of struggles for them. A prominent one is their bluntness against extremely disciplined opponents. In most cases, they struggle to create chances and sometimes fail to convert the little they see.
The presence of a domineering forward creates pockets of spaces, by drawing in defenders to himself. This in return allows a higher chance of creation. However, the striker may or may not be involved in the result of the chance created. But his presence has already caused a distraction.
Aside from the off-ball threat of a natural forward, his on-ball threat is another thing. Arsenal is known to possess a vast array of chance creators within their team. Benjamin Sesko would be a dream come true for them. Either in set pieces or open play, His dangerous positioning would be a nightmare for defenses.

With Benjamin Sesko out of the picture for the Red Devils. Their priorities would be aligned with other matters. For now, it seems their attention is directed at sorting out their coach riddle.
After Ten Hag’s FA Cup victory, there have been second thoughts from Man United’s board. Initially, they had planned to sack the Dutchman after a dismal season. But his win against Man City spoke volumes.
Their win ensured an automatic Europa League qualification. Somehow the simple-looking success seems convincing. Nevertheless, the Man United board may still not be impressed. Time will tell on the conclusion of their final decisions. This will be either to keep him or not.
