Ravichandran Ashwin Emotional Words After India’s T20I Victory Parade

Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was not part of the T20 World Cup 2024 squad. As of now, he is the second Indian after Anil Kumble to take over 500 Test wickets. Meanwhile, he shared his feelings about the victory parade and the enthusiastic crowd. He is not part of the World Cup squad, but he has connected with the fans through his videos.

Fans in Mumbai filled Marine Drive and nearby streets to celebrate India’s T20 World Cup-winning team’s victory parade on an open-top bus. The Indian cricket team returned to Mumbai after meeting with the PM. They did a victory parade on an open-top bus from Nariman Point to Wankehede Stadium. Fans warmly welcomed the Indian Cricket Team to their huge crowd.

Mumbai’s Marine Drive was packed with millions of joyful fans welcoming India’s T20 World Cup-winning squad. The team paraded in an open-top bus from Nariman Point to the Wankhede Stadium, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Ravichandran Ashwin said:

My heart is smiling and spending the whole day in happy tears, watching all the videos & pictures from yesterday’s celebrations in Mumbai. It is, after all, a nation that has provided the sport so much and still continues to. Once again, so proud of the champions.

Ravichandran Ashwin has experienced the highs and lows of cricket, feeling the pain of missing out on major titles with the Indian team since the 2013 Champions Trophy.  Since India won the World Cup in 2011 and the Champions Trophy in 2013, he again, has been part of the squad. But again, India achieved a victory after a long wait of 13 years, and he missed himself in the squad. But he can express his emotions and feelings through his videos.

He said:

I have not part of the Squad but I can feel the happiness  and emotions of Indian Cricket team through videos. I was part of the victorious 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy teams but missed out on world titles in recent years.

Ravichandran Ashwin’s last T20I appearance was during India’s 10-wicket loss to England in the 2022 T20 World Cup. On his YouTube channel, Ashwin discussed the emotions of senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Hardik Pandya after the final match.

Furthermore, Ravichandran Ashwin said:

Unbelievable. I do love you cricket; I have watched the game for many years. I’ve played in a bunch of things: World Cup 2011, Champions Trophy 2013. However, the kind of emotions that all the players expressed on winning and what it meant for them in long wait , from Dravid exiting to Rohit  having come so close. It was indeed full circle!

Ravichandran Ashwinh’s words reflect the mood and happiness of not only his team but also that of millions who reveled in what is arguably one of India’s greatest wins on a cricket field. Ashwin, who has 72 wickets to his name in 65 T20Is for India,. The Indian cricket team celebrated their victory with huge fans.
