Randy Orton and Kevin Owens returned to WWE SmackDown where he participated in a tag match against Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. This happened just a week after he had defeated both of them in a three-way match but this time it was going to be a tag team match, where he would need a partner, this mystery partner was kept secret from the fans to build excitement.
It was revealed on the day of the match that the secret partner of the Owens is ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton. He was on a break after a great performance in the Premier event of ‘Bash in Berlin’ where he lost to Gunther but overall had an outstanding performance.
Kevin Owens’s Favourite Partner
Randy Orton lost the chance to be the World Champion for the 15th time in his career at the WWE Bash in Berlin, but people weren’t expecting him to show up at ‘The USA Network” SmackDown. Owens on the other side promised his fans to bring a surprise to them. The other option for partnership was Cody Rhodes, but he had his big match coming up on the same event against Solo Sikoa’s version of ‘The Bloodline’, so he was out of the conversation too.
Before the fight, it was not announced that Orton was going to be the partner, in reality, WWE announced Ricky Gibson as the partner of KO but right at the time when they were going to face each other in the ring, the announcer interfered and announced shocking news that the real partner of Owens has arrived and will be making his entrance, a few minutes after that, the entrance music of Randy Orton started and ‘The Viper‘ appeared, seeing him the crowd went crazy and roared in excitement.
Reaction of Waller and Theory
Austin Theory and Grayson Waller were happy to see that Kevin Owen’s team was not as strong as theirs and it also didn’t have unity but when they saw ‘The Viper’ coming up the ring, their reaction and their faces said all of it that were scared to see him.
The match was full of action and excitement, as Owens and Orton fought together against the other team and even made a good winning tag which allowed them to win. At last Owens and Orton were victorious as it was expected from the audience.
Final Thoughts
Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton together used to generate awesome build for the fans and also were dominant but since Owens faced Rhodes in ‘Bash in Berlin’ for the undisputed WWE Championship title, there seems a slight hate between both. But Overall, we know these are the final appearances of Randy Orton and he might not be present at the live events because of medical conditions but he will always be a legend of wrestling.
