Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja found out the Men in Green’s tactical blunder in the Super Over. That resulted in a shocking 5-run defeat to the USA in the T20 World Cup.
Without a doubt, the Cricket World Cup is nothing without Pakistan. Whether they win or lose, the Pakistan cricket team brings spice to every match.
At Dallas’ Grand Prairie Stadium, Pakistan was left in disbelief as the USA camp broke into jubilant celebrations. Pakistan’s dangerous speed in the final four overs increased the chance of winning on a day when they were chasing their opponents.
Ramiz Pointed Out PAK’s Missed Opportunities
On a day when Pakistan was primarily chasing their opponents. They managed to boost their chances of victory with a clinical run of speed in the last four overs.
Haris Rauf had to defend 15 runs in the final over, But the USA managed to push the game to the Super Over. The co-hosts batted first and scored 18 runs. Whereas, Mohammad Amir‘s inability to maintain consistency plays a significant part.
The ball was delivered over to Saurabh Netravalkar, a left-arm pacer. Iftikhar Ahmed, a right-handed hitter, was on strike, while left-handed Fakhar Zaman was on the non-strikers’ end.
According to Ramiz, the Pakistan team committed a HUGE MISTAKE in not fielding Fakhar against Netravalkar.
“Left-handed batters do better against left-handed pitchers. Shadab worked hard to score 40 runs. It does not imply that he is in form or capable of scoring fours or sixes in crunch time.
“We didn’t use any fancy shots, like a reverse flick or a ram shot. Fakhar Zaman was left in the non-strikers’ end. So strategically, this was a huge blunder,” Ramiz stated on his YouTube channel.

Ramiz Raja’s Critique of Strategy
Amir had been given the ball for the Super Over in place of Shaheen Shah Afridi after excelling in the final over of the second innings. Ramiz questioned Amir’s approach, suggesting that he should have focused on his skills instead of trying anything “fancy”.
“Pakistan committed error after mistake in the selection and strategy areas. Mohammad Amir attempted to do creative things with his go-to ball, the Yorker, but there was no control; it was a disappointing effort. “No one seemed to be motivated to fight in the game,” Ramiz continued.
Poor Captaincy and Friendship Taunts

Before the match, openers Ahmed Shehzad and Imam-ul-Haq had a furious disagreement on Tabish Hashmi’s show ‘Haarna Mana Hai.’ “Babar Azam maintains his friendships. He’s been carrying players for a long time. Players who have been out of form for a long period are regularly given opportunities. It does not seem good.
“If there was another captain, he would not have carried players for 35-40 games. We play cricket to win ICC tournaments, not bilateral series. Did we win any events during the previous 4-5 years? “There are gangs and friendships, and an agent has been manipulating cricket for the last 4-5 years,” Shehzad explained.
“One captain does not win five events. Babar was removed and then returned. I’d understand if he were MS Dhoni. It’s unjust to Shaheen that you named him captain for two matches and then withdrew him.”
Pakistan will meet historic rival India at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday. Let’s who will win that Match!!!
