More drama has been flagged by ex-F1 driver Ralf Schumacher in Red Bull saying that there might be enormous changes now instability is looming in Red Bull. Schumacher’s words come at a time when Red Bull is under so much pressure because of a series of below-par displays that have threatened to compromise the teams’ dominance of the constructors’ championship.

Red Bull’s Struggles Maintaining Top Spot

McLaren is now threatening the dominant position of Red Bull that has been reigning supreme on Formula 1 for the past seasons. After the event at the Monza circuit of the Italian GP, McLaren is clearly within reach of Red Bull now only eight points behind. Red Bull has lately been suffering a poor show, with Max Verstappen qualifying only at the sixth position at Monza. This has created a lot of controversy surrounding the team’s capacity to hold its premier status in the field.

Interviewed by Sky Germany, Ralf Schumacher did not hesitate to describe the current state of affairs of Red Bull. He described the increasing level of tension within the employees and foresaw future demotions saying, that Ralf Schumacher puts his finger on the problem right now the team is under a huge amount of pressure and may need to begin reconstructing a new fresh people.

Ralf Schumacher on Pressure and Performance

Ralf Schumacher points out that such a steep fall-off this season is very strange. Ignoring the main fact that more races are coming at circuits which may particularly favor Red Bull’s car thanks to the higher downforce demands, Ralf Schumacher claims that the team’s troubles will not end soon. The authorities will specifically address the issues that arise and resolve them as promptly as possible.

The pressure on Red Bull is exasperated by more brilliance from McLaren’s Lando Norris. Even though Norris only scored third place at Monza, he was fast enough to cut Verstappen’s lead in the drivers’ championship by only 62 points. Norris is in great shape and with 8 races left in this season, he is definitely in the running for the MotoGP Championship and Schumacher said he does not think anyone can beat him this year.

Championship Implications

Ralf Schumacher also noted that McLaren has become one of the most serious rivals in the race to be the winner of the constructors’ championship. He added that Red Bull is making things worse with mistakes like a slow pit stop in Monza. Another interesting remark made by Ralf Schumacher was that Red Bull’s errors are set to grow, which has a deeper effect on their results and championship dreams.

His judgment could not be more dire for Red Bull as they try to assert their continued dominance of Formula 1. Recent performances of the team and increased competition from the McLarens and other teams might well indicate that major changes are in store.
