PSG is one of the main powerhouses of football in the world, especially since they have superstars like Kylian Mbappe – and Neymar and Messi who passed through their ranks. Every time they step on the pitch in their domestic league in France, they are expected to win.
That is what makes going up against them so difficult. Toulouse faces this powerhouse team today. Currently sitting low on the table in 11th place, it would be a huge upset if Toulouse could pull off a shocking win against PSG who sits in first place on the table.
Tune in to see PSG vs. Toulouse on May 13th at 7 pm (Paris time) at the Parc des Princes in Paris, France.
PSG vs. Toulouse: Preview
PSG
PSG just beat Borussia Dortmund to make it to the next round of the Champions League after a round-one defeat that shocked the nation. Luis Enrique and his squad dominated the game against the Bundesliga side, but couldn’t find the back of the net.
But, the game against Toulouse might even have more meaning than staying in first place in the league or bouncing back from the CL game. It will be the last time Mbappe plays at home as a PSG player in front of his fans and his manager, teammates, and coaching staff.
Toulouse
Two players to keep an eye out for during the game are Vitinha on PSG and Schmidt on Toulouse. These two players are very similar and can either be the rock for their respective teams or cause issues if they are not playing well. Schmidt is slightly better than Vitinha in terms of technical ability and creating chances, but Vitinha is more solid defensively and tactically.
Toulouse is coming off of a few good results in Ligue 1, earning two draws and two wins in their last five matches. Let’s see if they can keep the good spirits going for this intense match-up.

Unfortunately, during the tense battle in the second leg of the Champions League competition against Dortmund, Hernandez suffered an ACL problem that will rule him out for the rest of the domestic league season, CL final, Euro 2024, and potential future tournaments. Rice, Kimpembe, and Kurzawa are also on the bench – or not featured in the squad – for the upcoming game against Toulouse.
In addition, PSG has made an interesting decision to “rest” Mbappe or give him less playing time since the news of his departure. Will he play the full game during his last run out against Toulouse, or will he only play 60-70 minutes?
For Toulouse, Nicolaisen is not available for selection due to his two-game ban.
