The Knights traded their stagnancy for shots on the net whenever possible. To their favor, game three ended 5-2.
Colorado Avalanche
The Colorado Avalanche has had a rough start to the 2024-2025 NHL Preseason and the 2024-2025 Rookie Faceoff. Neither the rookies nor the roster for the upcoming season has locked down a win. Even so, there is a difference between winless, and hopeless. The Colorado Avalanche has shown some improvements in certain areas of their gameplay. The Avalanche is a club that often shocks fans. Whether the team officially shows up, impresses, or does not show up, and disappoints are never easily forecasted.
Despite the trouble categorizing the potential impact of the Colorado Avalanche this upcoming season, there are a few things to keep a watchful eye on. Casey Middelstadt, the Avalanche’s great new hope has an intense hockey sense and the ability to predict plays. He is also a fantastic center, which Colorado needs. Another player to keep an eye on is Nikolai Kovalenko, who could strengthen the Colorado Avalanche’s right side substantially, but many claim the left side needs more attention. Intelligent line rearrangements could improve the depth of their lines and have a reverberating impact on the entire club.

The Knights have made clear their improvements in their strength of each line, better puck control, and sustaining offensive rushes. The Colorado Avalanche is hard to predict, but with not one victory for the club in the preseason activities, worry is spreading. If there is a team that the general rules do not apply to, it is Colorado.
They have a habit of showing up to the rink and annihilating opponents when least expected, but can they stand against the beast of the West?
