Philadelphia Phillies Slugger Celebrated For Spectacular June

The Philadelphia Phillies are sending seven players to next week's all-star game.

Philadelphia Phillies First Baseman Bryce Harper was just named the National League Player of the Month for June. This was the second consecutive month he won this award as he won it in May as well. Harper had a great June as he hit .374 with seven home runs and 16 RBI. The perennial All-Star has been sidelined with a left hamstring strain since June 27. Harper was placed on the 10-day injured list following the game.

The Philadelphia Phillies had a slightly above-average June going 15-11. The team has gone 3-2 in the absence of Harper. Harper had an even better May hitting .313 with seven home runs and 24 RBI. According to Fox Sports, Harper has the third-best National League MVP odds behind only the Los Angeles Dodgers dynamic duo of Designated Hitter Shohei Ohtani and First Baseman Freddie Freeman.

Harper is hitting .303 this season with 20 home runs, and 58 RBI. He is 12th in the league in batting average, tied for seventh in home runs, tied for eighth in RBI, and fifth in OPS. Will Bryce Harper be able to keep up his great play whenever he is healthy enough to return to the diamond?
