He tossed 5.2 innings and surrendered two earned runs while punching out six as the Philadelphia Phillies won the opening game of the 2024 London Series 7-2. With his win earlier today, Suarez became the first pitcher in Major League Baseball this season to reach 10 wins.
Suarez bounced back from his start last week against the Saint Louis Cardinals when he was forced to leave the game early after taking a line drive off the thumb of his pitching hand. He got off to a slow start today as he worked around a jam in the bottom of the first inning only allowing one Met runner to come home.

Suarez made his Major League debut in 2018 with the Philadelphia Phillies. He has spent all seven seasons of his career in the “City of Brotherly Love.” The veteran looks well on his way to making his first career MLB All-Star Game at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. This stadium is home to the defending World Series champion Texas Rangers.
