When Is The Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Parade?

Philadelphia Eagles

After the Philadelphia Eagles dominated the two-time Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs last night, the celebration will continue throughout the rest of the week. Kansas City looked to be unprepared and overwhelmed throughout Super Bowl LIX on Sunday night. The winning team made history, and some players will end their NFL careers with a championship.

Beating the Chiefs by a score of 40-22 truly showed who the better team was. Even though Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles have been discussed negatively in the media, they were able to show the outside world that they deserved to be crowned Super Bowl champions.

Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Parade Set To Be Held On Valentine’s Day

As the celebration moves forward, ESPN reporter Adam Schefter revealed the day that the Eagles and their fans will parade through their city. It will fall on Friday, February 14. That particular date, as everyone knows, is also Valentine’s Day. Fans will have the opportunity to watch their NFL team in the Super Bowl parade while being able to spend time with their loved ones as well.

This is the second Super Bowl win for the Eagles in franchise history. Their first appearance and victory took place back in 2018. As  Hurts has been on the big stage once before, Super Bowl LIX was extremely special for him as the signal caller under Head Coach Nick Sirianni.

Eagles QB Showcases True Talent

Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts had perhaps the best performance of his career when it mattered the most. Hurts went 17-of-22 for 221 yards and two passing touchdowns. Throughout the season, their offense relied heavily on Running Back Saquon Barkley, but he was contained fairly well by the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. As a result, Hurts was the leading rusher with 72 yards and a rushing touchdown.

The passing game was a success as A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith both got in on the action with touchdowns. Smith had 69 receiving yards as the top target offensively for the Philadelphia Eagles. The defense stepped up by getting to Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes six times as their offensive line could not hold up to the Eagles outside edge rushers.

Kansas City put points on the board in the second half as Philadelphia rotated second and third-string players as the game got out of hand. With the intense and aggressive play from the Philadelphia Eagles, it snapped the Chiefs’ chances of winning a third consecutive Super Bowl title.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the performance by the Philadelphia Eagles was overly impressive. Fans of either team could not have expected the outcome of Super Bowl LIX. Hurts proved his capabilities and was more than deserving of the Super Bowl LIX MVP with his first win as the team’s franchise quarterback. Since the team will be celebrating their citywide parade, there is no doubt that tons of love will be shown on Valentine’s Day by the hometown fans on Friday!
