The last Detroit Pistons approach the edge of being excluded after they experience a poor Game 4 with the New York Knicks. The well-executed first 3 quarters from Embiid did not quite do the job. The Sixers’ performance lacked in what specifically mattered most in that crucial last quarter where the Knicks exploited their weak points.
The Offensive Quarters of the Sixers in Game 4
The bench did not help as they only got 16 points. While Tyrese Maxey and Kyle made the chances to control the offense, they didn’t succeed through the play, as it disturbed the flow, and the chances were missed. Nevertheless, Maxey demonstrated a degree of skill though he didn’t perform as expected. By the end of the game, he had only made eight out of twenty-one shots from the field as well as three out of nine shots from beyond the arc.
Joel Embiid’s Fourth Quarter Woes
Regrettably, the impressive statistics could not compensate for Joel Embiid’s worst time slot result. At the fifth personal foul of New York Knicks center Isiah Hartstein, the Knicks demonstrated a new defensive strategy for the 76ers’ No.1 player Joel Embiid with OG Anunoby guarding him. While the rest of the team just could muster up enough energy to score, Embiid especially struggled in the 4th period and this was basically what became the undoing of the Sixers.
Defensive Adjustments by the Knicks
Adjustments made by the defense of NY in Game 4 became extremely important in their team winning that game. With coach Thibodeau having utilized Precious Achiuwa as a roaming stopper, the Sixers had some boundary problems on the offensive end and Anunoby’s defensiveness completely bottled out Embiid on the court. The high-kicking and mean gameplay from both sides made 4th quarter very challenging for Philadelphia
Jalen Brunson’s Dominant Performance
Owing to his magnificent game, Jalen Brunson‘s performance shone among other stars in the Game 4 for the Knicks. All-Star point guard’s 47–year–old play in which he had 10 assists was indeed a great move to illustrate his ability to put up his best plays on the high stakes.
Brunson scored and performed well at the end of the game. He was impressive in ways that the Pistons did not perform up the standard manners of Philadelphia. Each city would play 82 games at their respective home arenas, with each club playing all the other clubs in their conference once.

Series Outlook
The Sixers now seek to tie the series 2-2 with the Nets when the action continues back at Madison Square Garden in Game 5 for them, a must-win game. We will face those challenges at the front court and the back court, with defense tactic adjustments to protect our territory and Brunson’s magical attacks. Philadelphia’s chances to come back in the series strongly will be measured by their effort to bring up their game in case of losing a game.
