Pepperdine Waves Reveal Versatile 6’8” Commitment

San Francisco Dons land their next player from the transfer portal.

The Pepperdine Waves continue to be very active in the transfer portal. The Waves added former San Francisco forward Stefan Todorovic. He joins former Wake Forest Guard Aaron Clark as another addition through the transfer portal.

Todorovic didn’t get much run with San Francisco last season and only averaged 3.8 points in nine minutes per game. He spent one season at San Francisco following two years at SMU.

Pepperdine is in a transition stage right now after the departure of former Head Coach Lorenzo Romar. The Waves are led by coach Ed Schilling who is trying to turn things around for the struggling program.

Todorovich is eyeing a larger role at Pepperdine than he had at his previous two stops. How will he fit in with his new team?

Stefan Todorovich won’t have to move too far for his next stop, as Pepperdine University is just an hour flight south of the University of San Francisco.

With Pepperdine and San Francisco both in the WCC, Todorovich will be familiar with most of the opponents the Waves will face next season. San Francisco is coming off a solid 2023-24 campaign, finishing third in the WCC. The Dons are primed for another year toward the top of the WCC.

Pepperdine on the other hand, had a disastrous 2023-24 campaign. The Waves finished second to last in the WCC. They now have a new coaching staff and endured a complete roster turnover.

Another Stop For Stefan Todorovic

Todorovich will be playing basketball at his third different school in the last three seasons. He was a member of the SMU Mustangs for two years where he averaged about four points rebounds per game.

He then transferred to the San Francisco Dons last offseason, which turned out to be his lone year as a Don.

Todorovich has never been able to solidify a spot in a rotation during his college tenure. He has promise as a knockdown shooter from the small forward position. USF had great shooting depth across the board last season which limited the amount of time he could see the court.

Transferring to Pepperdine is a big opportunity for Todorovich.

Pepperdine Waves Outlook

Pepperdine

Pepperdine is looking for a jolt of energy to what has been a pretty lifeless team the last couple of years. They went 16-47 overall the last two seasons and a brutal 3-29 in WCC conference play.

The Waves have had talent come through, but it just hasn’t meshed. Pepperdine basketball has been tough to watch in recent years, but Waves fans should be excited for the upcoming campaign.

It is a fresh start with a new coach and players because of the departure of a lot of Romar’s guys.

There will be a new energy the Pepperdine basketball program hasn’t had in years.
