The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named Tony Hemming its new chief curator for two years. The departing Western Australian will land in Lahore on Wednesday to begin his duties. One of Hemming’s priorities will be to prepare pitches for the five ICC World Test Championship matches.
Particularly, for the series against Bangladesh (two in August/September) and England (three in October). Hemming will also supervise pitch construction for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, held in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9. Tony Hemming is a well-regarded curator with over four decades of expertise.
He has worked at historic cricket venues throughout Australia. It includes Melbourne, Perth, Tasmania, Bangladesh, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. He served as the International Cricket Council’s Head Curator in Dubai from 2007 to 2017.
