The Paris Olympics 2024 is set to start on the 24th of June and be wrapped up by the 10th of August. The Soccer tournament of the Olympics is to kick off with Argentina playing Morocco. The time slated is 14:00 Paris time. At the same time, Spain will play Uzbekistan. The two games will kickstart the Soccer tournament. The Paris Olympics 2024 soccer games have 4 groups in the First round. Group A consists of France, the USA, Guinea, and New Zealand.

The next group, B consists of Argentina, Morocco, Iraq, and Ukraine. Group C has Spain, Uzbekistan, Egypt, and the Dominican Republic. The final Group D has Japan, Mali, Israel, and Paraguay. All the matches are expected to be hosted by 7 stadiums. Here are some interesting facts about the stadium.

Parc des Princes

Parc des Princes is located in Paris and is set to host the Group stage games. Alongside this are the Knockout stages. Parc des Princes will also host the Gold medal matches for both Men and Women’s soccer games. The Soccer pitch is the home stadium for PSG with a capacity of 47,926. This has been in existence since 1974. The stadium has been known for international tournaments.

A typical example is the 1998 France World Cup. Another is the women’s 2019 France World Cup. The stadium has also been used for major international musical performances. Top Celebrities like Michael Jackson, Red Hot Chili Pepper, and many more have performed there.

Nantes Stadium

La Beaujoire Stadium in Nantes will be hosting the group-stage games. It will also host the Women’s quarterfinal games. Alongside this is also the Men’s Bronze medal games. The 37,473-capacity stadium is a two hours journey from Paris. Its history also spans back to the France’s 98’ World Cup and the 84’ European Championships. Then it was part of the stadiums that hosted games in those two tournaments.  

Bordeaux Stadium

This also also 2 hours away from Paris. The Bordeaux Stadium is the home of a Ligue 2 Soccer team Girondins de Bordeaux. It’s set to host group stage, and Men’s quarterfinals matches in the Paris Olympics 2024. The Stadium was completed in 2015 with a capacity of 42,000. It was initially made for Men’s 2016 Euros in France. After its unveiling and the European Championships, it became the official stadium for Bordeaux.

Marseille Stadium

This is France’s second-largest stadium. It’s expected to host a great deal of Soccer games in the Paris Olympics 2024. From the quarterfinal games, down to the Semifinals. The Marseille stadium was initially designed and built-in 1937. As time went by it was rebuilt a lot of times. Its newest renovation came in 2014. This increased its capacity to about 67,394. The Stadium is known to be the home of Olympique de Marseille. It’s known historically for hosting the France 98’ World Cup. Alongside this is also the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

Nice Stadium

This stadium is positioned close to the Mediterranean. The Nice Stadium is home to Ligue 1 soccer team OGC Nice with a capacity of 36,178. It’s set to host an ample of Men’s and Women’s group-stage games.  The Stadium was constructed to take the position of Stade de Ray in 2013. Its ultramodern look has rooftop solar panels. Also, it has a system for collecting and reusing rainwater. The Nice Stadium is home to the French National Sports Museum.

Geoffrey-Guichard Stadium

The Geoffroy-Guichard Stadium was designed and constructed in 1931. It is the stadium of the French club AS Saint-Etienne. It has been rebuilt many times and now has a capacity of 41,965. It also hosted a lot of tournaments. From the 1998 World Cup down to the 2007 Rugby World Cup. The Geoffroy-Guichard is expected to host many group-stage matches in the Paris Olympics 2024.

Lyon Stadium

The stadium of Olympique Lyonnais is set to host Men’s and Women’s group stage matches. Also, set to hit the quarterfinal and semifinal games as well. It will be the venue for the women’s bronze medal game for the Paris Olympics 2024. Situated in Decines, close to Lyon the stadium was unveiled in 2016 and is now the third-largest stadium with 58,186 capacity. Moreover, the majestic place has been used as a concert for celebrities like Rihana, Celine Dion, and many more.

Ticket Prices for the Games

The ticket price for the soccer events is within the price range from €24 to €300 ($26 to $324) at face value. The group stages will cost around€24 to 70€. However, the gold medal games at Parc des Princes will cost more. This is around €80 to €300.
