Pakistan is urged by Harbhajan Singh to go ahead with the multi-nation event even if India decides not to participate. Ex-cricketer, who has great value for his words in the team Indian Cricket expressed his thoughts on the matter. The former Indian spinner showed worries about India’s decisions in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is set to take place in Pakistan, due to safety concerns.

Singh suggested the other country through X(former Twitter). In a video shared on the social platform ‘X’. The reason for concern is security which India thinks they will not provide as much as it should. There could be plenty of reasons like past situations, current happenings, or something that they should be worried about. He raised questions about whether India would take part if safety conditions didn’t improve. Despite not knowing about that, Singh dared the other country to go ahead with the international event even if India decided not to join.

Despite the situation being unclear, Harbhajan dared the other team to continue with the international tournament even if India chose not to participate. Those are some important words for an Indian and words and things to think about again for their safety. He stated:

If our players are not safe in Pakistan, we won’t send the team. If you want to play, play; if not, don’t. Indian cricket can still survive without Pakistan. If you guys can survive without Indian cricket, then do it.

The neighboring country didn’t do what India is doing right now. Last year, Pakistan, captained by Babar Azam, visited India for the ODI World Cup after a gap of seven years. However, India’s participation in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy in the other country remains uncertain.

Unlike Pakistan’s Cricket team, India has shown that they are hesitant about traveling to neighboring countries for the tournament. While the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hasn’t issued direct statements, they have expressed their concerns through various media channels multiple times.

India’s Part in the ICC Decisions with Pakistan

Reports suggest that India’s reservations have raised alarms within the ICC, leading them to think about other options. There will be a grand meeting in Colombo, and it will happen on 19 of July. The matter of the Indian team not being ready to go to a neighboring country because of security reasons that maybe be a key reason at the ICC’s annual meeting in Colombo from July 19 to 22. The only way might seem like they will be potentially hosting the tournament in a different country alongside the selected one.

At the grand meeting, this matter will be discussed deeply and India will be asked clearly if they want to go to Pakistan or if they have some other plans, India will be requested to confirm their participation in Pakistan. The BCCI is likely to state that they need the government to approve it, which could open up discussions about a model that will have matches in different countries, which means that will take India’s matches to the UAE where the UAE will co-host the event.

Indian Cricket Team Having Different Set of Rules

Indian cricket team has a different set of attitudes that is concerning to Pakistan and the rest of the world. The Indian government usually doesn’t give written refusals or explanations for their decisions, which is a big problem for trusting their decisions and it creates a worry for the management that if even at the last minute they decide to pull out it will cause a lot of problems and it will deceiving if such things happen.

As a result, the ICC is preparing backup plans. The agenda for the ICC meeting includes the budget for potentially hosting the tournament in another country alongside the country they already selected.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is determined to host all the Champions Trophy 2025 matches within the country, despite talks of a neutral venue or alternative plan. Unlike the concerns of India, the PCB is determined to prove its country and its systems to be safe and is steadfast in its commitment to proving that its country is a safe and competent host for international cricket events.
