Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya has proposed a potential MMA bout against Dana White. Over the past few weeks, a new cross-over rivalry has been brewing between Ryan Garcia and Sean O’Malley. While O’Malley previously spoke about a potential fight against Garcia inside the squared circle, ‘KingRy’ recently challenged the UFC bantamweight champion for a fight inside the octagon.
Interestingly, Ryan Garcia’s promoter Oscar De La Hoya has come up with an interesting plan. The Boxing legend has stated that he will be down to fight Dana White in the octagon in the co-main event of a potential clash between Garcia and O’Malley.
While speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Oscar De La Hoya had this to say:
“Does he have purple hair now or what color is it now? I like him. He’s a good striker… It would be a hell of a promotion. I would actually entertain that because Ryan can fight in the main event with this kid and maybe I can do Dana on the co-main. We’re cool, but it’s all good – I mean, I don’t know if we’re cool. I mean, I haven’t talked to the guy. I’m good, but it doesn’t mean that we can’t go at it.”

What did Dana White say about Conor McGregor’s return?
Fans have been eagerly waiting for Conor McGregor to return to the octagon. Having been out of action since July 2021, McGregor has been slated to return numerous times. However, his return still hangs in doubt. While McGregor himself claimed that he would be back in the summer of 2024, it looks like his return has been delayed further.
Providing a fresh update on Conor McGregor’s return, Dana White revealed that the Irishman’s financial success has complicated the negotiations. White said:
“Conor McGregor’s got a lot of money, and anytime we get Conor, we’ll be happy, know, be thrilled when he comes and fights. But money complicates a lot of things. He just filmed a movie. He’s got to do the press for the movie. And he’s got obligations with that, and he does want to fight this year, but we’ll see what happens.”
