Oklahoma City Thunder

We finally got to see how well the Thunder forward, Dillon Jones, could perform in the right conditions. Dillon improved in his game after his poor debut performance and went off against the Jazz. The 6’5 forward got 21 points, four assists, and seven rebounds, making 7-8 field goal attempts and 100% of his three-pointers. With this performance, the 26th overall pick proves that he could develop his game based on experience.

Ousmane Dieng plays forward for the OKC Thunder. In his debut game against the Sixers, he was quiet on both sides of the court. Ousmane got 20 points with five assists and rebounds. Thus, the OKC team would need more of this performance from this youngster against the Grizzlies.

Memphis Grizzlies

Cam Spencer was the second top performer in his team against the Jazz. The second round pick got 18 points with seven assists and rebounds. Spencer made 50% of his field goal attempts to enhance his team’s offensive play. Spencer came off the bench in his debut game to score 11 points and contribute to the Grizzlies defense. Thus, in the starting lineup, he had more chances to prove his skill which he did.

Jaylen Wells was the new face of the starting five lineup. Jaylen got 27 points, six rebounds and three assists. The Grizzlies’ 2024 NBA second round pick got four offensive rebounds, one of which helped the Grizzlies escape an overtime game. Combining Jaylen Wells and Zach Edey as the team’s starting five could make the Memphis Grizzlies’ offense and defense tighter.

Possible Breakout Players of the Game

Oklahoma City Thunder

Ajay Mitchell is worth watching in this last Salt Lake City game of the OKC Thunder. The 22-year-old point guard had an explosive performance in his Summer League debut game against the Sixers. Against the Utah Jazz, he bagged a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. Also, this contributed to the team’s win regardless. He could bring back his explosive performance against the Grizzlies.

Memphis Grizzlies

A forward player from the Memphis Hustle, Dejon Jarreau is another player we should look out for. The Hustle forward got 12 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. With his G League experience, he could replicate his stats to help the Grizzlies team win. He averages 15.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game at the Memphis Hustle, making 45.6% of his shots on the field.
