Nia Jax Wins WWE Women’s Championship at Summerslam 2024

Nia Jax, Summerslam

Nia Jax was able to win the WWE Women’s Championship at Summerslam 2024 by defeating Bayley. The match was one of the more back-and-forth matches on the show so far but for the third consecutive match, there was a title change. This decision to have Nia Jax win the WWE Women’s Championship makes the Smackdown women’s division a bit more interesting going forward. Let’s take a look at what happens with the WWE Women’s Championship after Summerslam 2024.

Who will be Nia Jax’s next contender for the WWE Women’s Championship?

Nia Jax has won the WWE Women’s Championship and there really is only one major story that can be told with the championship. During the closing moments of the Summerslam match against Bayley, WWE Women’s Money in the Bank winner Tiffany Stratton came out and it appeared as if she was going to be cashing in her opportunity for a championship match and make it a triple threat. However, she would not do so before Nia Jax won the title.

Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton have formed an alliance on Smackdown but when the two were celebrating after the Summerslam match, Stratton kept her eyes on the WWE Women’s Championship and people were waiting for the turn for Stratton to cash in. Smackdown has some outstanding women wrestlers on the brand that can challenge in a match for the championship but it all depends on when Stratton gets involved and officially turns her back on Nia Jax and cashes in on her.

This will likely happen on a Premium Live Event instead of a random Smackdown but either way, it will be a chance for Tiffany Stratton to do well and for “Tiffy Time” to be crowned the champion. There is also a chance that Stratton loses her Money in the Bank cash-in match so it will be interesting to see what happens.

Nia Jax joins Bron Breakker and LA Knight as the new champions after Summerslam so this will be interesting to see if there are any more new champions being crowned as there still is Damian Priest vs. Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship as well as Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa for the WWE Undisputed Championship to go on the Premium Live Event.
