Blackhawks’ Predictions to Make the Playoffs 2024-25

Chicago Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks are in the midst of a rebuild. Players like Connor Bedard and Alex Vlasic are crucial to turning the team’s bright future into a reality.

NHL.com has an article about how eight Western Conference teams can get back into the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Chicago Blackhawks are obviously one of those teams; they haven’t made the playoffs since 2020.

The Chicago Blackhawks added many new pieces like Teuvo Teravainen and Alec Martinez, who will certainly make them a better team than last season, NHL.com thinks those additions will be a huge part if they’d make the playoffs.

NHL.com says young superstar Connor had 61 points in 68 games, won the Calder Memorial Trophy last season, and should take an even bigger step forward this season. It will help guys like Teuvo Teravainen and Tyler Bertuzzi, who joined the team this offseason, to help the Blackhawks reach their goals.

T.J. Brodie and Alec Martinez, who were added in the offseason, and returnee Seth Jones are in Chicago, helping young defensemen like Alex Vlasic and Kevin Korchinski develop.

The Blackhawks players and organization made it clear after they finished 23-53-6, 46 points out of a wild card spot, that it’s unacceptable to be that bad again. They improved the roster with many shorter-term contracts. Seth Jones and Nick Foligno were unhappy with being that bad regarding wins/losses.

The Athletic Predicts a 25-point Blackhawks Increase

The Athletic has the Chicago Blackhawks with a 25-point increase from their 2023-2024 Season but still missing the Playoffs by nearly 20 points, which seems pretty likely with a much better 2024-2025 roster but still in a rebuilding phase.

The Athletic predicts Superstar Connor Bedard and Alex Vlasic will be a huge part of the Blackhawks season.

Teuvo Teravainen and Connor Bedard already have a great connection in only one preseason game. Bedard assisted Teravainen with a goal that gave the Blackhawks the lead vs. the Red Wings.

The Chicago Blackhawks are in action again on Tuesday, this time against the Minnesota Wild in Minnesota. Now, the Blackhawks camp is down to 32 players. Of these, 23 will make the NHL roster, which will be decided before the Opening Regular Season game.

The. Blackhawks assigned Colton Dach, Landon Slaggert, Cole Guttman, Ethan Del Mastro, Ryder Rolston, and Samuel Savoie to Rockford.

Zach Sanford and Brett Seney cleared waivers and were sent to Rockford. These next few games will be huge for players like Kevin Korchinski and Frank Nazar, who aren’t guaranteed a spot in the NHL on the opening-day roster.
