There are speculations that Newcastle is eyeing Real Madrid’s midfielder Dani Ceballos as a replacement for Bruno Guimaraes. Guimaraes, 26, is likely leaving Newcastle this summer. Arsenal, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing Guimaraes. He has been one of the best players for the team since he arrived in the winter of 2022. He has played 99 games for Newcastle, scored 13 goals, and assisted 13 goals from the midfield. Since he is so much in demand, sources have it that Eddie Howa is looking into Ceballos as his replacement.
FFP Could Influence Guimaraes Sale
Sources believe that Financial Fairplay could make the hard decision on behalf of Newcastle. Consequently, other clubs like PSG are waiting for that to happen so that they can access the player. Therefore, it would be very hard for Newcastle to keep him.
The report states,
”Eddie Howe won’t want to lose the player, but the matter may end up being taken totally out of his hands due to FFP. They’ve [PSG] been tracking Bruno for a long time, and it’s no secret that he’s top of their wish list.”
Dani Ceballos has a £ 100 million release clause, which the interested clubs would gladly pay.
