Newcastle Set To Sign Bournemouth Defender In 1-2 Weeks

Newcastle stunned the entire footballing world. They ended up much higher in the Premier League table than people originally thought. Pundits, commentators, players, and coaches alike all marveled at how Eddie Howe’s side was able to beat the likes of West Ham United and Manchester United to end up in the top ten on the ladder at the end of the year.

It was a mixture of fantastic tactics, great coaching, energetic players, and cohesive team chemistry that allowed them to win games, come back from being behind in the first half, score goals week in and week out, and keep clean sheets against tough teams.

One of the reasons for the lack of goals scored against Newcastle was their formidable backline. They hope to strengthen their back four by signing another promising defender from Bournemouth in the upcoming weeks to prepare for the 2024-2025 Premier League campaign well in advance.

One of Bournemouth’s best players, Lloyd Kelly, has one foot out the door already and is thinking about going to Newcastle. The deal is also set in stone, so Eddie Howe will be able to relax and breathe a sigh of relief in ideally just a few days as Kelly signs the paperwork and makes the transfer over to the other English club in the same league.

Kelly will be delighted to go to a much higher team than Bourmeouth in the Premier League, signing for one of the top ten clubs in the premier flight of English football at the minute. Kelly, a 25-year-old tactician in the defensive back line, saw his contract with Bournemouth run out at the end of the year, making him a free agent. Surprisingly, his old team didn’t snap him up as soon as they could -and other teams took advantage.

Newcastle noted that Kelly is just what they needed to strengthen their squad and add more depth to their defensive presence on the pitch. Kelly, who has played for Howe in the past, is looking to reunite with his old coach and continue developing as a player under familiar coaching tactics and personality style.

The central defender left Bournemouth after having only played just over 20 matches in the Premier League this season due to injury. Despite having a lackluster season due to fitness concerns, it doesn’t mean he isn’t a good player – in fact, he is a reliable and consistent center back when he is in full fitness, adding another number on the depth chart that Howe will want for a super-long PL campaign next year.

Newcastle United ended the season in seventh place, beating out Manchester United on goal differential and almost catching the Blues to end up in sixth place, only missing out by three points. They were only eight points behind the fourth-place squad, Aston Villa, showing just how close Newcastle United is to being one of the best in the league.

Currently, they have Loris Karius as a backup goalkeeper with ample experience, Kieran Trippier in the back line, Tino Livramento, and Lewis Hall, all talented back-line members who can help keep the goals out this season. For the attack, the team will focus on giving the ball to Joelinton, Callum Wilson, Harvey Barnes, Alexander Isak, and Anthony Gordon to score goals and win games.
