He hit a solo home run tonight at home against the Colorado Rockies as the slugger went yard for the second consecutive game. He also hit a three-run home run in yesterday’s 6-0 drubbing of the Cleveland Guardians.
Stanton has once again battled injuries this season and missed over a month with a hamstring injury. His power numbers have been down this month with only four round-trippers in August. Stanton is hitting .241 this season with 21 home runs and 55 RBI. Stanton made his MLB debut in 201o with the then-Florida Marlins and has been one of the best power hitters of his generation. He was named the 2017 NL MVP, is a five-time MLB All-Star, and a two-time Silver Slugger Award winner. He spent the first eight seasons of his career in Florida before being dealt to the New York Yankees before the 2018 season. He is a career .258 hitter with 424 home runs and 1,087 RBI. He is the active leader in home runs in Major League Baseball.

They are seventh in ERA, fifth in strikeouts, and fourth in opposing batting average. Their pitching staff is led by Carlos Rodon. He is tied for the league lead in wins with 14. Closer Clay Holmes is also sixth in the league with 27 saves.
