New York Mets Shortstop Francisco Lindor etched his name in history following a great performance on Tuesday night against the Boston Red Sox. With a two-run home run in the bottom of the third inning, Lindor became the third shortstop in MLB history to hit at least 30 home runs in five seasons. He also hit 30 home runs in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2023 Lindor joined two all-time greats Alex Rodriguez and Ernie Banks as the only shortstops to accomplish this feat.
Lindor is having an MVP-caliber season in 2024. He is hitting .273 this year with 30 home runs and 84 RBI. He is 11th in the league in home runs and top 20 in RBI and OPS. Will Lindor be able to continue his great season as the New York Mets fight for a playoff spot over the final few weeks of the regular season?
