Even though they are one of the league’s best teams, their inability to compete with the upper-echelon teams limits their playoff chances. The Knicks have been led by a stellar offense this year. They are ninth in points scored, fourth in field goal percentage, and 10th in three-point percentage.
The Knicks defense, a strength in past years, has been its weakness this season. They are 10th in points allowed, 23rd in opposing field goal percentage, and 27th in opposing three-point percentage.
