New York Jets quarterback and potential running mate for Robert F. Kennedy Jr Aaron Rodgers has again come under fire in the news. Recently, there has been controversy around his alleged thoughts on the Sandy Hook tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut back in December 2012. Reportedly, Rogers claims that the shooting, which claimed the lives of 20 children and six staff members, was a hoax.
New York Jets QB Rodgers Claims Sandy Hook Tragedy a Hoax
Aaron Rodgers, star quarterback for the New York Jets, has been circulating in the news cycle for quite some time now due to his polarizing statements and the peculiar circumstances he is involved in. This one may take the cake. According to a CNN report, Rodgers spoke with chief correspondent Pamela Brown at an afterparty in 2013 following her coverage of the Kentucky Derby. Brown claims that Rodgers proceeded to state the Sandy Hook school shooting was a “government inside job” and that the media had been ignoring it.
When probed by Brown for proof that it didn’t happen, Rodgers shared a series of theories that were eerily similar to those of alt-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. Jones labeled the victims’ families and first responders at the scene “crisis actors” which in turn led to many defamation lawsuits levied against him- up to $1.5 million in total. Aaron has since responded to Brown’s claims; Many fans swiftly assumed it was to avoid having to shell out a similar amount of money. “As I’m on the record saying in the past, what happened in Sandy Hook was an absolute tragedy. I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place.” Rodgers stated.
As I’m on the record saying in the past, what happened in Sandy Hook was an absolute tragedy. I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place. Again, I hope that we learn from this and other tragedies to identify the signs that will allow us to…

New York Jets Star Quarterback Estranged Relationship with His Family Family
Rodgers’growing circumstances date back to July 2016 -when his brother claimed the star quarterback was distant from their family. While competing on the reality dating series The Bachelorette, Jordan Rodgers spoke to star Jojo Fletcher on their relationship or lack thereof. “Me and Aaron don’t really have a relationship,” Jordan said. “It’s just kind of the way he’s chosen to do life.”
Aaron’s retort neither confirmed nor denied Jordan’s statements. “As as those kinds of things go, I’ve always found that it’s a little inappropriate to talk publicly about some family matters, so I’m not going to speak on those things, but I wish him well in the competition,” Aaron answered. Rodgers’ father, Ed, also had some choice words for the star quarterback. According to a report by the New York Times, Aaron had not spoken to any members of his family since 2014.
New York Jets: Aaron Rodgers May Not Believe 9/11 Occured Either
In November 2022, former Green Bay Packers quarterback DeShone Kizer stated Rodgers was often interested in conspiracy theories while on “The Breneman Show” podcast. The Notre Dame alum stated Rodgers once asked him if he believed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. “I mean, why wouldn’t I? He was like, ‘You should read up on that,'” Kizer stated. “It ended up being a real thought experiment where he wanted me to go back and look into some of the conspiracies around it and provoke a lot of great conversation.” It’s impossible to predict what will come out of the mouth of the New York Jets quarterback next.
