New York Giants Week Two: What Could Go Wrong

New York Giants week two

With the New York Giants week two match against the Washington Commanders tomorrow, everything could go wrong Sunday. One of the things that could go wrong for the Giants is the run defense being ineffective against the Commanders. Washington has a weak offense, especially with the run game but things could get weird for the Giants and Commanders.

Another thing that could go wrong for the Giants is Daniel Jones and his weak quarterback game. Jones has been awful in week one and could have another bad game against the Commanders. Many things go wrong for this New York Giants Week 2 match-up but those are the major concerns for Sunday’s game.

One of the major concerns for the New York Giants’ week two match is the run defense against the Commanders. While the Commanders’ run offense is weak, the Giants’ run defense has been ineffective this season. Washington could do well with Austin Ekeler as a veteran running back with Brian Robinson.

There is also Jayden Daniels and him being a solid two-way player for the Commanders. Daniels’ arm has been decent in week one but his running ability was the highlight. The Giants could have a hard time shutting down Daniels’ running abilities and he could have a great game. New York’s defense is a great concern for fans and could have an impact on this New York Giants week two match-up.

New York Giants Week Two Concern: Daniel Jones

Another concern for this New York Giants week two matchup is their quarterback Daniel Jones, and his poor playing ability. Jones in the loss against the Vikings in week one was a disaster that made every fan doubt his ability. While Jones could do well against the Commanders, he could have a rough time against the front seven of the Commanders’ defense. The Giants’ offensive line could have a difficult game against Jonathan Allen and the defensive front.

Final Thoughts

This New York Giants week two match against the Commanders has the chance that everything will go wrong. New York’s defense has been weak during the first week of the season, and the trend could continue for the team. The Giants’ run defense could be tested by Daniels and the Commanders’ run offense.

There is also Jones and his poor quarterback play for the Giants offense. Even with a decent run offense for the Giants, Jones has been a poor quarterback and could have another weak game.  While the Giants have been great against the Commanders in the last two seasons, the poor play by the New York in week one could have the Commanders win. There is a chance that the Giants could be swept by the Commanders in this long grueling season.
