Nashville Predators 2024-2025 Preview

The Nashville Predators begin the season this evening.

The Nashville Predators made big offseason moves by getting Forwards Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Marchessault, and Brady Skjei. They will be making their Predators debut Thursday against the Dallas Stars in their home opener in Nashville. The Predators were scheduled to start the NHL season in Tampa Bay but due to Hurricane Milton, that game was canceled and will be rescheduled. The Nashville Predators are looking ahead to an exciting season with their new additions to the roster.

Nashville Predators 2024-2025 Season Preview

The Nashville Predators will face the Dallas Stars at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday night. Alternate Captain Ryan O’Reilly said, “It’s awesome. We’ve got a great team this year, we worked hard this training camp and we’re excited to get going. It’s been a long summer waiting to get back into it, and it’s finally happening.” Nashville Predators Captain Raman Josi said, “There’s a lot of excitement in the locker room, and there’s a lot of excitement around town, you can tell the fans are excited.”

Head Coach Andrew Brunette this is his second season behind the Nashville bench. He will look to his team to embrace the changes and discover their identity as a new team with new faces on the roster. “I really want to see the excitement and the work ethic, to play the way we want to play, to get back to our identity,” Brunette said. There is one setback for the Predators, Goalie Juuse Saros is dealing with a lower-body injury and is considered day-to-day. He was not present at practice Tuesday but was on the ice Wednesday for a limited practice.

Predators Looking Forward To Regular Season

The Nashville Predators are embracing the challenge by playing the Dallas Stars in their first game of the season. As a team, they have a lot of confidence in each other to get the win and have a successful season this upcoming NHL season. The ultimate goal is to win the Cup. The Predators feel they can accomplish this goal with the added pieces to the roster they acquired this season.

The Predators will have high expectations this season with a winning season, making the playoffs, and not getting eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. They are looking to Forwards Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Marchessault, and Brady Skjei to be the pieces they were missing last season.

Final Thoughts

The Nashville Predators will open up the season at Bridgestone Arena against the Dallas Stars on Thursday night. They will head to Detroit to face the Red Wings on October 12. The Predators made the playoffs last year but were eliminated by the Vancouver Canucks in Round 1 in Game 6. The Predators have complete faith in themselves to make it to the playoffs and hopefully make a run for the Cup. They will face some challenges with the strong Western Conference teams but it’s an exciting time of year that hockey is back.
