Muhammad Mokaev is officially fired by the CEO of UFC. Dana White announced in a press conference that he will no longer fight in the octagon. Other than that, the boss, went further and also mocked Mokaev about trying to do contracts with PFL. He is one of the undefeated fighters in the sport, who has been fighting vigorously to achieve his dreams and be a great champion one day. The mixed martial artist last fought against Manel Kape, and it had no different results than Mokaev’s other fights. The British-Dagestani champion completely dominated Manel Kape and took a step towards his dreams.
Dana White’s firing
Dana White is a businessman, and as such, he knows that you have to take some steps to bring about change and accept the hard reality. A lot of reporters reported that Mokaev is approaching PFL to find a better contract for himself than what he is currently under. Although he has repeatedly mentioned that he has always dreamed of becoming a UFC champion one day, the reporters did not try to report the dream of Muhammad Mokaev but did the opposite.
As the lead company man, he has to maintain the standards of the organization. And for that reason, he finished all the contracts with Mokaev, which included a last fight with Kape, and after that, he was fired. White showed his anger by saying, “He’s not under contract anymore. I think the PFL is going to get a great, undefeated guy. Good luck to him.” Dana White has been criticizing and appreciating fighters for a long time, but this one was different. It is not common when the CEO mocks someone on PFL, which seems to be an alarming situation.
Muhammad Mokaev’s explanation of the situation
Muhammad Mokaev thinks that being a champion is his dream, he trains hard day and night to stay in shape to fight his next opponent. He believes that he has prioritized UFC above all his choices. Others approached him, and he turned down every offer for this opportunity because he dreamed of being a belt-holder here. The fighter also cares for his family and mentioned that he works hard to feed his family, he expressed this in these words, “My dream is to become UFC Champion. I turn them all down because UFC gave me the platform to put my name out there and earn money to feed my family!”
Fight outside the octagon
The MMA fighter claims that he has never touched a person outside the octagon, but Manel Kape crossed his limits this time. Mokaev also said that Manel was the first one to throw a punch at him and he did not start the fight outside of the octagon. After defeating Manel Kape by decision and proving himself to the world, White announced his decision about Manel Kape.
He did not explain that in detail but he did mention that Mokaev can go join PFL. Mokaev is an undefeated fighter and he has fought 23 fights and lost none, 13 of those fights are in the records of his professional career. White said that PFL would be lucky to have such an undefeated champion. Responding to this statement of White, Mokaev defended himself by saying that he hadn’t done anything like that, and the reporters that reported that news about him were all fake and there was no proof or evidence that they could prove that.
However, he is in the flyweight division and there are no flyweight divisions in the PFL. Therefore the possibility of him making a contract with PFL does not make sense. The fighter exclaimed, “Btw PFL doesn’t have a flyweight division All these journalists that make this sh*t up are idiots! I hope Dana resigns me, this is my dream to become a champion!” Such passion and shortsightedness may earn him a little more press coverage now. But if his performances don’t turn around soon in the octagon, Muhammad Mokaev may be looking for a different line of work soon entirely.
